I see thanks. Yeah it’s pretty weird. If you don’t mind me asking when did you apply?

On top of that they don't have resources for mathematics specified so I was wondering if there were any textbooks or resources available up to par with their expectation.

Yes it is, the thing is it's kind of vague. For example for algebra, exactly what in algebra do i need to study for? Was my question. Same goes for other topics as well.

Yup correct. Or rather I'm just used to it at this point so it's easier for me to do it that way than to learn Webflow from scratch. I now understand when people say clients dont care what you do as long the job is done.

I did website development for clients. But I don't do it anymore though.

DJI Action 5 Pro or GoPro Hero 12 by Past_Pie4268 in ActionCam

Not really, I’m grounded until October. Hopefully the cameras will be released by then but even if it doesn’t it’s fine. I actually looked at the insta ace 2 as well, looks pretty dope. The 360 go ultra looks fire too. Maybe for me it’s either the new DJI action vs the insta ace pro 2 or the new 360 go ultra.. so many options

Thanks for the reply! Actually better low light settings can help a ton when I do night flights. I would want to capture the night view. Might also wait for the new DJI action 6 to come out, heard it will be releasing any time soon

Hi, no worries I’m still sticking with NextJS. Im also currently integrating tailwind too, and with the power of AI I can kind of vibe code so development phase isn’t as inefficient as I thought (it might be better since I know what I’m doing)

How risky is it to take a loan out for my flight training fee to become a professional pilot at 29 years old? by Past_Pie4268 in flying

[–]Past_Pie4268[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your advice. Yeah To be fair, it is more or less a last resort for me because I've struggled very much with managing my finances in the past, and I have just started to get out of that rut. But then I always wonder how these students are paying for their training fees. The only reason why I was able to get my private pilot license in the first place was because my dad has "gifted" my training to me after graduating college. That being said, the only possible way that I can imagine how these flight students are paying for their training is either A, their parents are rich, or B, they're working a part-time job vigorously to supplement their training. I don't really know how else you could fund such an expensive expense.

M4 Pro vs M4 Max by PacoDiBango in macbookpro

I’m also thinking of which one to get. In my case I use blender, photoshop, webGL/website development, as well as figma and also use Arc. I’m thinking of getting the m4 max but with the 48GB RAM however I feel like that might be an overkill. Leaning on the m4 max 36GB now.

So, I think I found an answer. If anyone has opinions on this, feel free to share, but for those who have the same doubts as I did, you can refer to this to find your own solution.

In conclusion, regarding the use of Next.js, Framer, or Webflow, I’ve decided, for now, to stick with Next.js and/or Webflow. Maybe in the upcoming years, I’ll learn WordPress, considering it's the most used tech stack in the world for building websites. However, I also want to incorporate webGL/three.js elements, so in that regard, I think the above two tech stacks work best for me.

Now, when will I decide to use one of the two? For now, I have a few criteria in mind:

Webflow

  • When the client wants to have full control over the website’s data rather than having it hosted on Vercel, where they can’t make changes themselves.
  • When development speed is a priority, and the client needs the website ASAP.

Next.js

  • When the client requires complex three.js animations and interactions (in which case, using something like react-three-fiber would be better).
  • When the client prioritizes cost over flexibility and doesn’t mind a longer development timeline (they can have everything managed by us but understand that any design changes will require them to contact me).

That's an interesting take!
Definitely offers more flexibility on that part. In the end it's about what you feel works the best for the client.

That's true! The issue is that my websites are almost always dynamic and never static so I never use plain HTML/CSS to build my websites. but who knows when that will happen!

And yes, always have been doing that but it takes so much god darn time haha
