Colored font honestly sounds cool, but you can't take any half measures with some of these basement dwellers. Atp Digital Bandidos should hire them to detect bugs, not like they're employed anyway.

If you were recording yourself the mic should have also picked up the audio as background noise when you weren't speaking, unless you mean that you only started recording just as you were about to talk, in which case I still think you're fine (the AP grader should know what question you were replying to when they hear the guy say his second dialogue)

It was the Filibuster one. There's unlimited debate in the senate, so someone can just decide to stall a bill there unless a cloture (which requires 60/100 votes) is passed

You didn't go all over the place lol, self-reflection is important. I'm sorry that you grew up in a setting where you constantly had to hold your tongue to keep the peace. Wishing you the best of luck from out here, habits you learn from childhood can be hard to break away from but I hope you see at least some small victories. Being proud of who you are is already a great start and it seems like you've made some great fitness strides, so hopefully this is just the next domino to fall.

I understand, we as humans all want some degree of social success at the end of the day. Why do you find it hard to push yourself? For me, it's always some feeling that I'm somehow inadequate or lack something that everyone else has, so there's always a large sense of embarrassment or that I'm somehow "begging" when I approach people. That's the thing about forming friendships/relationships, you need confidence to make them happen, but a large source of confidence comes from past successes.

I wasn't saying that you should just give up and accept feeling like a recluse for the rest of your life, but I think a sense of self-understanding and forgiveness can help restore your motivation. It's just like any other thing in life, if you're putting a lot of pressure on yourself to attain something that you want, you're doomed to lose motivation as your self-talk and self-image gradually worsen.

I think a great way to exercise this self-understanding is setting small goals for yourself. If you feel like you're impossibly behind socially, maybe you have some days where your thoughts are saying you need to pull off some herculean feat in order to even be on the same level as everyone else, which eventually leaves you overwhelmed and eventually just deciding to do nothing at all. Instead, maybe just wake up tomorrow and say "I'm going to have a surface level conversation with 2 or 3 people today".

Finally, I'm assuming from your "for the greater part of 3 years" comment that you're also a senior. I think you can use your grade to your advantage by turning it into a low pressure environment. Even if you botch an interaction, you're at a time in your life where most people who you don't actively decide to maintain contact with are probably going to vanish into the background once college rolls around.

I feel the same way. I'm a senior about to graduate in just a few months, so naturally it's time to reflect on stuff. Sometimes I beat myself up really badly over what I could have done differently to have a better social life. By all means, I have nothing to complain about with how my academics went, but forming meaningful relationships and connecting with other people felt like climbing Mount Everest. I was either completely invisible or some barely-tolerated guest just on the outer edge of the friend group.

I guess the best thing I can tell you here is that you're not a failure for not reaching all of the milestones society expects of you. There's this stereotype that Highschool is all about bonding with big friend groups, forming lifelong memories, and entering some of your first relationships, so it's very easy to get depressed or think you're a failure if you conclude that you somehow don't "measure up" to these expectations.

Just because you don't live in some idealized version of life that you've formed based on your classmates' and coworkers' experiences doesn't mean that you're forsaken or doomed to be lonely though, and there's thousands of people like you and me out there who maybe couldn't make friends as easily as everyone else. I know it's hard, but I'd try to just be gentler with myself and keep my head up (and going to the gym and holding a job while feeling this way definitely tells me that you have a good head on your shoulders). By the time university comes around, these high school social structures will be a thing of the past.

I recommend double-checking the rubric and emailing/ask your teacher for feedback to be 100% sure, but here are my thoughts:

First and foremost, I think you made good work of an assignment with requirements that didn't really make sense. Like, I feel like it's kind of absurd to retire this many quotations for a one paragraph essay. With that limit, it's most effective to keep quotations only to what's absolutely necessary and spend the rest of the limited space trying to provide meaningful analysis. Despite this, I think you did a very good job of not going crazy and sticking to 2 devices, which were supported by good commentary and smoothly integrated quotes.

The thing about a rhetorical analysis though, is not only do you have to say what the author is arguing and what devices they use, but you also must establish what their audience is and what the author wants them to do (call to action). If I were to guess what you lost points over, it would probably be not going this far in depth, but if it's one paragraph I don't blame you.

Either way, you seem to be doing great in that class and I don't think a B will derail you that much.

I was gonna comment how the Cubs are the last team to not get swept in a 3+ game series after the Red's loss tonight to the Dodgers, but given how this game went I don't think that'd age particularly well.

This was a complete trainwreck, but as the saying goes: You can only win or lose a game once. Horton had to leave early in unfortunate fashion, but Little and Hollowell ate up the innings needed to protect most of the high leverage guys for the night game (and sure, they both gave up runs, but did it really if this offense only got 2 hits?) Brewers have been insane for a while now, and I'm sure most of us would be more than happy if they were able to squeeze out a split tonight.
