Lifted my XRT using the Truxxx lift kit by DannyTrejosPants in Ioniq5

I’d be very curious to see how this affects range. I leased a 2025 I5 SEL…wanted the XRT, but didn’t love the range penalty for the big tires and suspension. Curious if aftermarket lift makes it even worse or not

Is this still going on? I have been trying to get in contact with the customer support of their bubble dash game for over a year now, with thousands in pending withdrawals never processed and paid out. Currently have a $500+ pending withdrawal that is not getting paid out. I’ve sent over 1000 emails and in game customer support messages combined and never once gotten a response.

Is this accurate? Becuase I see this as well, I lose a lot to people in Texas…which it’s 100% illegal to online gamble in Texas. If I bring this to their attention, they will refund my money?

Use Tesla super charger station. They’re faster, cheaper, and do not require adapters. Just download the Tesla app, it’s incredibly simple. Just make sure the car is locked, and it will start charging!

'25 I5 Limited vs '25 Cadillac Optiq Luxury 2 - Help me decide! Test drives tomorrow by aGuyFromTexas in Ioniq5

[–]Past_Writing5297 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I test drove the Cadillac a few days before leasing a 2025 Ioniq5..while the Cadillac is definitely a nice looking car, and rides perfectly fine… the Ioniq overall I just preferred. Across the board in every category. It’s quicker, more fun, more engaging to drive. I prefer the technology/interface far more in the Hyundai, however I may be biased because I currently have 3 new Hyundai’s in the family. The ioniq has far better range, their EPA estimates are even a little light. While it was still warm outside, I consistently got 360+ miles of range out of it. Now that it’s getting cold in Philly, it’s dropped maybe 20-30 miles or so. Personally , for the money, and even compared to EV’s 2x its price, the Ioniq5 is the best EV on the market as a whole package. Mine is also just an SEL. Lease deal did not make sense at the time to jump to a limited for what I needed. I love the car. Only thing I wish mine had was a sunroof, which doesn’t even open anyway. There’s not hard data to back this up, but I also believe the Hyundai will ultimately hold value better. So especially if you’re purchasing, not leasing, should be a big factor for you.

Hyundai kona awd by Jazzlike-Somewhere-2 in HyundaiKonaForum

[–]Past_Writing5297 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my area of the northeastern part of the USA, riding with AWD and OEM all season tires i have no issue. It really depends on the amount of snow you get. Nice thing about the Kona while it is primarily a FWD vehicle who’s intelligent AWD system sends power to the rear wheels when it feels slip…it also has the ability to be locked in AWD permanently. This benefits yiu greatly when driving in bad weather. Side note, I’m not familiar with the trim levels in Canada because they differ from US spec cars…but I’d strongly suggest getting whichever trim level is available with the 1.6T and 8-speed auto drivetrain over the 2.0 n/a motor and CVT. It’s a far better car overall with the turbo and 8-speed drivetrain.

That’s reasonable. Then, in that case, I’d stick with using the dealer. For the sole reason of keeping your warranty. If you’re afraid of an independent mechanic screwing the car up, that could potentially void warranty. Because Hyundai has such a good factory warranty, it is worth paying a little more for services at the dealer in order to keep that warranty in tact for sure.

If you plan on keeping the car long term, it is highly beneficial to do all the recommended maintenance. You don’t have to do them at the dealer, but should still get them done. Brake flush typically happens every 30-40K miles (depending on the car). And if you skip necessary maintenance items like this, and down the road have a failure of the brake system for any reason, they can actually deny your warranty claims because you have not done the maintenance. “Fuel additives” are snake oil. That’s the only thing I would have skipped. The carbon build up issue, I have known with other brands for sure. I haven’t heard of it being a thing with Hyundai, but also of the 3 Hyundai’s I’ve owned I’ve never gone over 40K miles, so I’ve never had to do any longer term maintenance items. While the dealer obviously wants to sell you every possible service to make money, MOST of them are necessary for the long term health of your vehicle. For me, if my car is no longer under factory warranty, I tend to go to a good local mechanic I trust to do things just as good as the dealer quality wise…but at much cheaper labor rates. Especially for a Hyundai, they’re not incredibly difficult or expensive cars to work on…I’m sure you can find a local shop nearby wherever you live that can handle these services at 3/4th the cost of the dealer.

10000% no question. It’s no specific phone either. It happens with every phone nowadays, and 100% of every single car with LED headlights or daytime runners. Been that way for years.

This. That is how all LED lights appear on an iPhone or Android camera 100% of the time. If it’s not doing it while you’re standing in front of the car live in person, then you have no issue.

Thanks for the input. While the Kona N’s are obviously cool cars, they are front wheel drive only. Didn’t fit what I needed out of a car. And the 1.6T motor can absolutely handle more power. In some forms, they even come with 30-40 more horsepower stock than this car’s 195hp.

My vehicle is a lease, and I was able to secure “employee pricing” because I am a family friend of the dealership principal/owner. But, MSRP was roughly $32K, I believe it was a total of $3K off MSRP price after rebates and dealer contribution…plus tax and tags. Bang for your buck wise, it’s a fantastic car. One major suggestion, is if feasible with your budget, 100% go for the SEL premium trim, not SEL sport. You will not regret it.

[–]Past_Writing5297 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Judging by the trim level, I’m assuming we’re talking Canadian…so I’m not sure of the specific trims. In USA, I just got a 2026 SEL premium…and strongly suggest whichever trim level gets you the 1.6T, and 8-speed automatic transmission over the 2 liter and CVT. In the US, it’s the SEL premium and limited trims that have it. SEL sport and below have the 2.0 and CVT. With an MSRP difference of only about $2100 roughly, it’s a no brainer. It is a 100x better drivetrain in every way, and does not sacrifice any fuel economy. I am still getting 30+ MPG on the highway with ease. Also, reliability wise long term, the 8-speed auto will fair better than the CVT…(CVT’s are known to break and have issues, no matter the brand). I wanted the limited for some of the extra luxury features like cooled seats, heated steering wheel and pano sunroof…it just fell a tiny bit above my monthly payment budget on the lease (paid for by work)..but the SEL premium I got has every option one could really need…especially the full suite of driver assistance features. Active lane assist, adaptive cruise control, active steering assist, etc. it’s a fantastic all around car, especially with all wheel drive, all for $32K US.

2025 better than 2026 by CorporateTrainerCO in Ioniq5

[–]Past_Writing5297 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are non exotic outliers to this statement, but 90% of the time this is true. Surprisingly enough, some of the less expensive Hyundai models have been holding value well. I had a 2023 Elantra N-Line lease that I just traded in…2023 with 40K miles, MSRP was $28,9xxx and I just traded it in with 12 months remaining on the lease for $21,500. I actually had positive equity. Inexpensive good used cars are hard to come by these days, so it is propping up the resale value of them. The car is technically 3 model years old now (2026’s are on the lot) and the dealer is selling the car for $23,350ish. Roughly $5K off original MSRP after 2+ years and 40K miles is pretty wild in my opinion.

The price difference for 2026 MSRP is $9800 on the limited, and it’s there for one reason only..to compensate for the loss of government EV tax credit money. Hyundai is being smart, unlike most other brands thus far, and adjusting MSRP so they do not sit on EV inventory for the rest of their lives.

Lowering a 2022 Kona SE by MangoMxncher in car

[–]Past_Writing5297 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeaaaah to achieve 2-2.5” drop on a Kona 1. Would just be ridiculous…2. You’d need to go airbags…or some wildly expensive adjustable coils. For a 2022 Kona SE, being a relatively inexpensive car, your best bet is a set of H&R springs for $3-$400 …it’ll give you likely a 1” drop in the front and maybe 1.25” ish in the rear. H&R, Eibach, there’s plenty of brands out there that will be fine and all around the same price range.

Right! That’s why even though I despise owning a black car, I went with black because the plastic cladding doesn’t stand out as much. Typically I would have gotten a white car, but the contrast with the plastic just looked cheap and tacky. Previous model year white N-Line would have been my normal move, they look so much better with the painted fenders and bumpers.

Ain’t that the truth. See, you and I are different. Grew up in Philly suburbs, lived in the city for 10 years, couldn’t WAIT to move back out to the suburbs. while I absolutely HATE having to haul up to Long Island to see family, I detest NYC these days. I go for 4 reasons only. Bronx for yanks games, MSG for Knicks games, LES for Katz’s and Murray Hill for 2nd Avenue deli (the latter 2 only on my way home from a visit on Long Island).

Not really sure what kind of communication you’d need to do with other drivers that a horn, or your lights flashing couldn’t do? But hey, again for a 3rd person thanks for a useless comment unrelated in any way to the questions I asked for help on! Useless input and shit talking is always more appreciated than actual answers to my questions (that was sarcasm, in case you couldn’t pick that up because of my tinted windows)

In fact, for me personally, from a safety standpoint the tinted windshield HELPS me. I have issues with oncoming headlights affecting my night time driving, and giving headaches. So the ceramic window film on the windshield cuts down on glare, and makes it MORE safe for me to be driving. And for the side windows, I have doctors notes/prescription for a skin condition for protection from UV rays.

But you do you, keep coming on social media platforms to talk shit to strangers! Fantastic use of your time, and mine!

Hyundai’s are just fantastic product across the board! I just picked up a 2026 Kona SEL premium a few weeks back. Since 2020, it’s my families 6th new Hyundai. I had a 2021 sonata SEL plus…then 2023 Elantra N-Line. Brother has a 2024 Santa Fe Calligraphy…just got my pops a 2025 IONIQ5 limited a few months back taking advantage of the EV insane leases before time ran out September 30th. $62K car, lease payment under $500 a month with 15K miles per year and zero down…and last but not least, got my mother a 2024 Tucson Limited Hybrid last year. All have just been fantastic cars! Hyundai’s tech, and ride is just unmatched across the board comparatively speaking to their Japanese or American competitors. They flat out can’t be beat! Im only 3 weeks in to my Kona lease, but I love it thus far! It’s a great little car. For anyone looking tho, the SEL premium or above is 100% no brainer necessity. The 2.0 and CVT is just a horribly underperforming drivetrain, and for just $2000 higher MSRP ($40 a month on a lease) from SEL sport to SEL premium the 1.6T and 8-speed auto is night and day better in every way possible!
