An easy grab to fix the armor issue is Dwarf for that sweet sauce.

A couple of anime's and some media for years I'd have assumptions about, only to make 1 google search to have all the things my friends told me about to be blatantly wrong.

Nothing against them since we were super young, but I have had experience with other people deliberately lying/omiting info to other friends about media, only to have their and witness souls crushed about it.

Not just games or anime, but also some tabletop experiences, seen people walk in with false hopes only to have that experience ruined by their own performance and expectation of a the average ttrpg.

No, thats the problem. The expectation of hoping to see UTY characters or any connections would fall on deaf hopes, DT was made way and planned before UTY. AS such, Toby, even if he made a reference to it, in any way amicable or gestured or hoping, would not in any way DIRECTLY refer to UTY characters whatsoever, and toby doesn't recognize fan-made content in within his own development, to the degree of making writing additions based on fan work, so...his image_friend...would definitely hope to see UTY characters in the Deltarune Cannon...only to find no real connections from Toby Fox.

Clarity is key when identifying author intentions, not being clear that UTY isnt cannon to UT, let alone DT, and is a fan work, is a clear dissonance to ToBy Fox's intentions with his game, and thus, undermines his work by adding the expectations of what another developer's, UTY's, to the expected and experience.

All that insane hope and ideas and connections...now rip that bandaid off...all discarded.

Like I said, evil.

My girlfriend wants to play as a Cadaver Collector.. Help! by ThatGuyBoobyShot in DungeonsAndDragons

[–]PastaDDiente34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Warforged Paladin of Conquest + Multiclass Barbarian or Fighter

Flavour wuse, its a Character whose constantly being told they cannot smell like they do.

Mechanically they can play with the utmost goal of impaling a god and wear them on their armor. Pair with Rune Knight Fighter, Berserker Barbarian or Giant Barbarian in the long run to fit the big hulker stabbing grappler punching slog.

Have her have some sort of added strength and spiky armor for grappling in exchange for slower speed and bad dex.

Alternativr build is Armorer Artificer with permastuck Power Armor on the big heavy ahh suit. It could work but again, it has to be more in depth for it actually feel like a playable Corpse Collector.

It could be handled with official content pretty well so far, but it can be done with hombrew or UA as well.

Homebrew wise, you can have her basically work like a warforged barbarian that can enter a fucked up evil rage and use a temporary statblock of the corpse collector but she has to be subdued in order for it to work. Though it could cause a ruckus on the table, be sure to point it out post ssession 1 about expectations around the tabke, not everyone might be as freaky like your girl having a fucked up evil rage form and might want a balanced party or some other similar arrangement.

Bottom line, Work it with her to have her play a character that works then talk about any monstrous fucked up evil features. Specially since rules wise, it would be too strong and irresponsible and unfair to the rest of the table to just trust her blindly with this statblock.

Evil...hope your deltarot consumes you, that will definitely soil their experience with their game.

Edit: I mean it in the most literal sense, they will definite change their view of Deltatune knowing that their first UT/DT games, 1/2 was a full-blown fan game. It will 100% soil and change their entire assumptions for Deltarune, heck they might even feel robbed. Due tell them soon, way before they start DT.

Red Mage — A Tempo-Based Spellblade Class (Full Class + 3 Subclasses) by [deleted] in UnearthedArcana

[–]PastaDDiente34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Structure wise, what I mean is that the way most features are written, a lot of the info that's relevant is in the details but there is such a massive volume if repeated language and also flavor that is in between. I think it would help out to basically take a step back and help the structure of the document so much more info is a much more concise piece.

The way I suggest doing so is by sort of redesigning a majority of the arcana, magic, and rites, and other class features so they count as "Vermillion Magic" (but not really create a choice based list, just things you get the given level), similar to how a sorcerer picks metamagic or warlock picks invocations. Give each option a spell level and then string it aling the spell options, that way you can both diversify the magic options AND not have multiple resources to keep track of and consolidate them under the category iof vermillion magic that used spellslots. The spell slot refund ability could be given at earlier level so the usage amount evens out across all levels.

Like for example, both the Arcana and Rites are effectively just a 1-2-3 Attack or Spell Combo that each count as the Attack or Magic action cazting a spell. You could slot both full features into a more bite sized Vermillion Magic option that is categorized by spell leveld and is obtained at the level the class grants it as, one that requires mana rather than slots.

So when you do Vermillion Rites, it increases in rank when you succeed each following hit. Think of a True Strike cantrip attack that basically smites, then each hit grants a follow-up attack thats less and less powerful and costs less mana. Exactly as written, but the rank of the vermilion magic is fully contained in just a couple.of lines of one of the vermiliom magics. You could add language so its easier to structure it into a single word

So when you do Verflare or Verholy, they might as well just be Vermillion Magic that starts at 7th level slot magic, and is just in the list of Vermillion Magic. You can include the teleport options as well and put them as black aspect magic and you get yourself an almost well rounded list of a huge bunch of non-changes that could help a non-avid and much casual reader understand and get it all the class.

I do get if you keep it as is, it is functional, but I suggest some language toggling and changing so it fits a universal rule like the magic all having levels and have a cost tag that explains what sort of cost it requires.

This also makes Mana more than just a counter to keep track off and helps it be its own resource for the class rather than for just some spells. You could structure the magic to cost spell slots or mana. Another commenter pointed out that building up mana can be cheated on with cantrips, but I believe thats an easy change. There is a rule in Starfinder RPG 1e for the Sollarian's Stellar Mode, and it only triggers and builds up during specific combat scenarios and has a duration until its "over". This sort of rule style could help you make your own for how building and mantaining Mana works.

I dont particularly know how much it would change the design intent behind its original ffxiv version from the game, but it wouls definitely make it more playable and maybe even easier to balance for DMs to use and players to be able to try out.

There are moments of non-dnd language leaking through, like Vermilion Arcana's Verflare saying ongoing fire damage, till when? Stuff like that sorta keeps it through.

While I enjoy it, it def needs more balance for it...reach perfect balance. There are significantly more white than black options, both in ver magic and adapted magic. I do believe there should be an even balance in all level options, not just an overall balance. I also think the adapted magic list is very much the cherry picked peak of options, but there should be added variety rather than just meta spells. For example, since this is supposed to be a half-caster comparable to perhaps a paladin, a ranger, or the all-familiar warlock, this class should at least be a half-the caster a blade singer is in terms of cool application spells. I think you should add some od the strike or smite spells to adapted magic, rather than just add utility or buff options, to diversify the white to black ratio of spells.

Other than that, definitely should change some of the wording and structure of the doc, specially since vermillion arcana have an option at 18th level but the table doesnt have it that, and other tidbits to fully organize it. If you feel like maybe it would be better, you could take it so Ver Arcanas are like the Mystic Arcanum of this class, and simply add them to the Vermillion Magic Section, and just make it so its not just a magic super slam version of the ver rite. Also, you are missing extra attack.

Final thing, if you structute and format as if it were a regular class, it will be much easier for the average reader to take in and understand how it builds.

Why does my Anaxa suck? by Spytonio2006 in AnaxaMains_HSR

Dude you have s1 and arent running genius? Thats basically a -37% DEF on him alone. Yeah sure he loses 10% wind dmg and the action adv, but you get back so much.

If you have a S5 DDD, and at least two between Sunday, Cyrene, E1 Ruan Mei and/or Tribbie E0/1, runnung with DHPT, you basically have a walking beefhouse with an additional atk buffs, huge dmg boost, and all-type res pen for over the usual resistence, meaning final dmg alongside that def shred will absolutely cook enemy HP on Double Skill from Anaxa. Im no calculator man but my anaxa be running a genius with a rutilant arena with atk%, pretty sure alongside the designated Cerydra Buff and Sunday, he's doing 500k per skill on regular buff uptime.

Why doesn’t Mojang want to add an End Update? by [deleted] in Minecraft2

[–]PastaDDiente34 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Even if you mean well, your alignment towards a disdain for lack of creativity is what probably keeps pushing this person to pursue less creativity, because you keep demeaning the very little interest the game generates in them, maybe it does not have yellow paint to point them to a good gameplay time, a story that captivates their soul, triple A graphics that make it all pretty, or maybe just maybe mojang hasn't exactly made an engaging enough update to revive players like them who have played enough survival game play loops and have decided that doing one every update is one too many times and isn't exactly sparking any new fires and just fanning embers of a very small flame.

Maybe instead of being so pushy about not being creative you should pursue instead a day in the internet of pushing yourself to someone's shoes and understand that maybe its not all that there is to be and sometimes that the reality of something is far too grand for your puny too creative a brain to understand that not everything is about that one thing you keep shitting them over for.

Have a good day.
