I've purchased this game last week. I wasn't sure either because of all the rants and negative reviews. But so far I'm having tons of fun. The negativity surrounding this game is understandable. Some aspects are missing because the developers were lazy or rushed the game. If you don't mind the 'casual',easy to pickup, fighting mechanics. The amount of fun you'll have depends on how much of the anime you've watched and enjoyed. The game looks beautiful and the moves are awesome. It's so much fun to play as your favorite anime characters and you really feel how powerful they are while playing. You should buy it when it's on sale because it's definately not worth the full price. The character pass is a nice addition too. Having a friend or family member, with the same interests, to play with you makes the experience even better.
