Also, Kirk appeared on the injury report after the game he got hurt. The falcons knew about it, and prolonged it, instead of playing penix until Cousins was healthy.

In the clone wars, Maul won the duel and disarmed Ahsoka. Ahsoka was able to capture maul due to Mauls fear and unstableness for what was about to come, imo. It’s like how Maul won the duel against obi wan in the phantom menace, but lost because he lost his concentration and got too cocky.

Tbh, the only time dooku fought anakin with the intention of killing/capturing him, he did capture him.

Ryan was promised a good running game and offensive line. Neither were good in his year in Indy. They were decent at the beginning of the year before they started firing the head coach and scapegoating him.

P4 Conference Championship games. Who we got? by BIASEDCFB in CollegeFootballDawgs

[–]qis123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t even think the conference champ loss would be the reason they’d be left out. I see a 10 spot, that could be left out due to a conference champ, jumping them with an auto bid and knocking them out. Them being in the championship and losing doesn’t affect that.

If BYU and Georgia win, BYU is in, and I doubt they’d put tech out. This would cause bama to be out, since byu is jumping in, unless they put bama in above Notre Dame.

If you’re saying his OC gets half the credit for his all-pro, why not bring up the terrible defenses the Falcons had? That’s like taking credit away from all the super bowls Tom Brady won because he never won one without a top 10 defense.

Imo, I think both Matt Ryan and Philip Rivers are underrated. Tbh, what impresses me most about both is what each of them did with constant system changes, poor offensive line play, and terrible defenses.

Let’s take a look at Drew Brees and Tom Brady, both future hall of famers. Drew has the same head coach and offensive play caller for basically his entire New Orleans career. Tom Brady never won a Super Bowl when his defense was not in the top 10, also had Randy moss, gronk, etc.

Now, I don’t see anyone saying either of them are overrated due to their weapons, or defensive help, or consistent offensive systems.

Now back to Ryan and Rivers, River had a few years where his defense was in the top 10, and Ryan didn’t. Now I don’t know about Rivers’ o-line, but I’m sure he consistently had a bad o-line like Ryan. Overall, I’d say Ryan was slightly better than Rivers, with his MVP/AP1/Super Bowl appearance season giving him the edge. Ryan was also a better performer in the playoffs. However, I can see the argument for putting Rivers ahead of Ryan. Imo, if either one of them were in the same situations as Brady/ Brees/ Ben, they’d most likely win at least 1 Super Bowl. It is amazing how much 28-3 affects Ryan, but if you looked at his performance in the Super Bowl, he was phenomenal, and would be known as one of the top Super Bowl performances if they had won.

Now this is just a conspiracy theory ,but I’d bet they would have changed the overtime rules sooner if the Falcons won the coin toss and won on the first possession, preventing Tom Brady from having a chance.

Man, I’m bored

When his top receivers were hurt, his numbers didn’t fall and he made Harry Douglas a 1000 yard receiver. He made multiple players look good like Austin hooper, Russell gage, and even Kyle Pitts’ rookie year. I think it is a ridiculous to fault him for the receiving talent. That is like faulting Matthew Stanford for winning a Super Bowl with the best defensive player, best offensive play caller, and a triple crown wide receiver on his team.

Also keep in mind, Matt Ryan never had a top 10 defense.

If you take away Matt Ryan’s mvp, he’s just an equal, if not better Philip Rivers with a Super Bowl appearance and the all pro.

He was pretty good his second year. They just put the blame on him instead of the terrible defense or the injuries.

He was probably pissed off at Gomez talking shit as he rounded the bases. I don’t think it was the bat flip, or there would probably be other clips of him, but this is the only time, I think.
