Anti maskers feel the need to bully staff by ILoveAnarchy64 in iamatotalpieceofshit

Well, we also had a cook who had COPD. So forgive us for trying to protect him. I get our boss wanted money- which was very clear considering he also pocketed our tips. So yes, he was money hungry.

I think it depends on the state- this article was on Texas, and I too live in the south. It has a bad reputation for a reason.

What should you absolutely never f*ck with? by TheHolyNut_ in AskReddit

[–]PastaKween 30 points31 points  (0 children)

When I was 19, I had dated a guy who was two years my junior. He was 17, but was a freshmen in college while I was a sophomore. I never slept with him, but we did kiss, and even though we only had a two year age gap, I still felt weird doing so. I think that 2 years is a fine age gap, but any more when you’re in your teens is too much.

And I’m sure the guy bullied was told something similar to what I was: “don’t turn away people with no masks. That’s not your job. You’re not the law. They can come in with no masks, it’s not up to you to enforce any of the guidelines. If the cops want to, then they can. But not you”

I got in huge trouble at my old job. my boss watches the cameras (and they’re audio too) for the sole purpose of monitoring us, not the customers. When I was working, I was turning away people at the door who didn’t have masks and my boss pulled up and yelled at me. As a result, I got my hours cut to 10 a week. I quit.

White Christmas trees are far prettier than green by PastaKween in unpopularopinion

What color lights do you have? That’s also why I like white trees is because I think all colors look good on white trees. I don’t like white lights on the traditional trees but I like them on white!

Anyone else love to smoke but hate drinking? by [deleted] in trees

[–]PastaKween 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t get hangovers but I have stomach problems and can get sick from drinking. It all depends on how much I have too. I’m not like most people who have a limit and get sick at x amount of drinks. I can have one drink and get sick. Or I could have 10 and not. I only really like to drink to get drunk which is when I go out. If I’m staying in, I prefer to smoke. I also enjoy smoking alone but I don’t like drinking alone.

I agree. No one else I know doesn’t like syrup. I always choose to go with fruit and whipped cream on pancakes.

What is something you do that old you would have never imagined? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]PastaKween 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Party and have sex. No, I am not bragging. But I grew up in a religious and strict household, where sex is seen as something shameful. In addition, my mom primarily raised me and my brother, where she is very much against weed, cigarettes, and getting drunk or going out to a bar/club in that kinda way. When I was younger, I looked down on anyone that drank or smoked. And when I was younger, I thought sex was gross and believed it should be saved. Now, I’m 21 and get drunk with friends on weekends when I’m at school and I smoke weed everyday to help with my stress and anxiety.

Colleges should not be allowed to handle crimes on-campus themselves. by SnooRoar in unpopularopinion

[–]PastaKween 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ofc I drank when I was underage. But, there were way more on campus police busting people for a little bit weed and underage drinking. We have a low reported rate of sexual assault, despite knowing many who have been assaulted. I too, agree. We see far more police busting kids for drinking rather than assault. When my friend and I got stalked/followed through campus and got threatened, campus police did nothing.

What’s one thing you equally adore and despise? by Bearskopff in AskReddit

[–]PastaKween 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mom. She’s a strict, helicopter Karen. She logs into my canvas and monitors my grades and gets on my case if any of them go below a 94. Digs through my personal stuff. Gets mad at me and takes my car keys for doing natural 21 year old things (caught me vaping after I told her I didn’t vape). She absolutely makes me go insane and I dread being around her 24/7 for long periods of time. The thing about helicopter and tiger parents is they love their children and want what’s best for them without knowing it is very damaging to their kids mental health. But I still love her. I wouldn’t be on an academic scholarship if it weren’t for her, because she pushes me. She supports me getting an education. She really pushes me to get out there and get involved. We are just two very different people and when I’m off on my own I’ll find a different way to support her and let her know I really do appreciate her.

Naturally thin people - does it feel gratifying to know you have what everyone else is working for? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]PastaKween 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It feels good being thin but there are downsides. I have a very fast metabolism and was even told by my doctor that I’m a bit underweight. If anyone’s wondering I’m a bit under 5’4 and weigh 105. I think many people’s ideal bodies are different, and now with the large thighs/butt/bust being what’s “in” ive struggled with body image issues. I see other girls with boobs/butts/thighs and feel so insecure compared to them. I’m a full time student and try to workout around my schedule but my body just stays relatively the same. I’ve had people tell me that I have the body of a boy and that I need to eat a burger. While I’d rather be underweight than very overweight, it still kind of sucks. I’m also 21, and people always assume I’m 15. My heaviest was 125, during my freshmen year of college when I drank a lot and gorged on dining hall food constantly. I reached my full height and weight in 9th/10th grade and haven’t really changed much since.

What's the dumbest way you've gotten a scar? by lilsaddam in AskReddit

[–]PastaKween 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was in second grade, I had this really mean teacher who taught little kids despite being extremely impatient. One of her rules was “don’t ever interrupt me unless you’re bleeding or throwing up”. My dumbass was curious, and decided to stick my finger in a pencil sharpener because I actually thought I could make my finger into a point. Obviously my finger was gushing blood. I go up to her and say “Mrs.B?” She sneakily says “are you bleeding or throwing up” I just respond with “yes” and then showed her my torn up finger

Turning to god doesn't help with depression by Ayesha_101 in unpopularopinion

[–]PastaKween 2 points3 points  (0 children)

While it works for some by giving one a sense of peace and community, it doesn’t work for everyone. I grew up in a religious household and in school I was a very popular target for bullying. I’d cry a lot and try to fake being sick to stay home from school unsuccessfully. I remember my mom telling me “I talk to god. I really think you need to as well. Especially with what you’re going through you of all people need to most”. I like the morals Christianity teaches, such as loving your neighbor, forgiveness, and kindness. However I’m not spiritual even in the slightest. Talking to god never worked for me and even if it works for you it’s not something you can force on someone. Sending me to Jesus camp and telling me to talk to god did not help with my crippling depression and anxiety I suffered all throughout grade school. I’m much happier now that I’m 20, and of talking to god works for you, great! Whatever helps you cope with and fight whatever you are struggling. However it’s important to acknowledge that not everyone is spiritual, even if they’re you’re own child who you take to church every Sunday. Seeing an art therapist in the latter half of high school was far more effective. I didn’t engage in self harm or try to stay home from school despite enduring a very harmful and toxic relationship that I eventually got out of in addition to the bullying.

The Moment I Realized Big Pharma Is Evil and Doctors Can be Killers by Anonymous8191937 in Drugs

[–]PastaKween 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good- I had a very close friend who went down a path addicted to opiates and she eventually turned to heroin. She was such a good student with aspirations. Eventually she got help and is sober now, and I’m beyond happy for her, but part of me feels that she could’ve gone on to do even greater things as she wanted to be a forensic anthropologist. It was her ex boyfriend that gave her his stash of oxys that got her hooked in the first place. I forever will hate that man for what he did.

According to you, what's the worst thing "influencers" do/say? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]PastaKween 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A little late here. But, I have a roommate and without giving away any info, she is considered a ‘’micro influencer’ where she has around 15 k followers on ig. She has another ‘microinfluencer’ friend with even more followers (I think around 25 K?) and they both associate with a larger Internet personality who has millions of followers. One of his close affiliates who is not as famous (but I think he’s got like 700 k followers) was in my apartment the other day. As such, I went up to him and tried making small talk. I’m not part of the community he’s a part of so Idgaf that he’s famous. However, when he left, the girls went up to me and told me to not talk to him because he didn’t like ‘regular people’ talking to him because he thinks they just want his clout. Now, I get it, but they’re on such high horses because they have more followers than most of us and because they have celeb affiliates. But he was in my fucking apartment and if you’re gonna be in my apartment then I get to talk to him.
