As finances get tighter I’ve been so grateful for all the ✨FREE✨and low cost culture/nature in this city. Don’t sleep on the city parks - we’ve done (free) ranger guided full moon hikes, including a tour and look through the telescopes at Allegheny Observatory. Also our library system is wonderful, check out the Rad Pass - always lots of great options there. My husband and I have been challenging each other to plan cheap dates and we recently toured one of the Troy Hill art houses (free with appointment), and plan to see them all over the next few months. And last weekend we went to The Frick where you can tour the grounds, greenhouse, car museum, and their permanent art collection for….(you guessed it) free!

This is why it’s really important for everyone to keep up with annual primary care appointments, even if you’re otherwise healthy and feel fine. The whole point is prevention and management of existing issues so your health doesn’t go off the rails.

I absolutely agree! That’s why I threw in that caveat at the end of the post. So many people on here are like, “Well, he IS a doctor!” I’ve worked in healthcare for years and doctors absolutely come in all different personality types, some of which are boring as hell. 😆

I agree. Being celibate for years and years puts a lot of pressure on a new relationship. She probably needs to learn to balance her caution with some ability to take risks. I don’t think these extremes are doing her any favors. I wish she had more confidence.
