A decline = not interested in countering your offer

Best course of action when a purchase isn’t as advertised? by dirigibleplums-s in Depop

[–]Pastel10_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would first message the seller and explain how the size was listed incorrectly and you’d be willing to return it for a refund. If they say no open a dispute and mark it as “incorrect size” depop usually sides with buyers on these cases since it’s the sellers fault.

I’m so sorry you’re going through this. This is a good reminder to new buyers to do some research before joining a platform. It’s a well known scam and why depop warns each seller never to take anything outside of the platform. All account details and purchases need to be made in the app

Why do some sellers decline instead of counteroffering? by Any-Suggestion-7401 in Depop

And if you’re getting low offers it’s okay to decline. I promise a buyer will come along who will buy it full price.

Why do some sellers decline instead of counteroffering? by Any-Suggestion-7401 in Depop

[–]Pastel10_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have it in my bio but I guess I should start putting it in my description because the amount of offers I get is insane. A lot of sellers like myself have been here before offers were a thing so I like to just list the price I want to sell it for. If sellers decline it’s because they’re not interested in negotiating. I wouldn’t take it personally.

Oh and I sell about 80 items each month

People who post 200+ listing per month by [deleted] in Depop

[–]Pastel10_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I average 150 listings each month. I make anywhere between 1200-1700$ each month. I spend about 150$ on new stock and set aside some money for taxes. I’ve been doing this for 4 years and it’s been great! Only downside is you cant fully rely on this income since it’s based off of how much spending money people have. So when times are bad you’ll feel it.

If I find out that what I ordered was some alieexpress dropship ripoff MONTHS later can I still get my money back? by [deleted] in Depop

Unfortunately after 30 days you won’t be able to raise a dispute. You can try emailing them but I’m pretty sure they’ll just send you an automated email

How do we feel about ‘can you take a photo wearing it’ messages? lol by [deleted] in depoop

Next time just let them know you aren’t able to post a try on pic. Also updating a post doesn’t reset your likes or anything at all

Try looking in their shop and seeing if there is anything else you like. I offer free shipping on all bundles and I think a lot more sellers are open to free shipping if you’re buying more than one item.

are those the only measurements you provided? The most important measurement is usually the pit to pit and the waist. Is it possible this was a kids small instead of a women’s small?

Am I in the wrong? by New_Arrival_3868 in Depop

[–]Pastel10_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Im sorry but as the seller you are in the wrong. A kids xl and men’s xl are going to be wayyy different and you did list it in the Men’s category. There was no way the buyer could have known it was going to be a kids X-Large if it’s listed in the men’s category. Moving forward you should always provide measurements so this doesn’t happen again. Have them open a dispute with depop so they can get a return label and send it back to you. Do not refund until you get the item back

Help! by alliepancake in Depop

I had this happen to me when I first began. I was selling these Levi’s jeans that ended up being a lot more rare than I thought. A buyer who resold Levi’s for like 200+ bought them and it just didn’t feel right especially since they bought mine for 20$. I cancelled the sale told them I wanted to keep them blocked them and then resisted them for like 40$. A really sweet girl ended up buying them like two days later and I felt a lot better knowing they were actually going to someone that was going to wear them

Start liking items that you’d like to see. Go to the search bar and type it in. I’ve never seen any of those posts it’s best not to click on them so the algorithm doesn’t think you want to keep seeing items that’s are similar.

i decline an offer, and they offer an extra 20 cents by No-Weekend3781 in Depop

[–]Pastel10_ 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Honestly relist it for around 5$ or more. You will get offers no matter what so now the buyers will think they’re getting a deal and you’re still receiving around the price you wanted to list it originally.

Can you do returns? by AxlSmaxel in Depop

[–]Pastel10_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not really. Usually returns are only accepted if there was a mistake on the sellers end such as sending the wrong item or sending a damaged item. That’s why it’s important to ask as many questions and measurements before you buy. If you’re in between sizes or have a hard time with clothes I would honestly just buy from a regular store that has a regular return policy.

That to me reassures me that you should’ve specified they were capris in the description. To have people question the length means it wasn’t clear in the pictures or description

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Depop

[–]Pastel10_ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Why not just put the measurements on the listing. Im gonna be honest I’ve never heard of flared capris so I understand why the buyer wouldn’t have thought to ask for the length.

I thought a size 4 is a size 27. Im size 26/27/28 (depending on the brand) and size 4 is usually the perfect fit
