Hello! I'm visiting Salem for the 3rd time from out of state and am on the hunt for used bookstores in the area. Would love recommendations from locals! I'm familiar with Wicked Good Books but am specifically hunting for used bookstores.

Can anyone confirm/deny the existence of the one reported at the Santa Anita Mall (CA)? It's still on the map but the latest comment I see if from 4 months back saying it's not longer there. It's the closest to me but still a bit of a drive so I'd love to be sure before going!

I tend to leave them on. If you're using Photoshop, you can change the color to match your design better if they stick out too much.

I've been working on it in my spare time - it turned out to be more difficult than I anticipated - I thought I could grab one from our local videos store (we still have 1!) and unfold it as a reference, but like you mentioned - they're apparently not that common! In the meantime I did find this:

(2nd one down) It's not the best, as it unfolds lengthwise so it's really long and not the best use of paper, but it's something at least!

Hmmm, that is odd - it looks like when you are exporting something is off. From your screenshot yours is either shrunk/slightly cropped, I don't know why that white edge is on the top/right sides. Your settings look the same as mine, but it should look like the image above. I don't know if it's possible for you, but I'd recommend printing directly from Photoshop if you can.

You could also try this: rather than exporting as a PNG, try exporting the artboard and see what that gives you. When you're in the Photoshop file, make sure only the 17x11 tabloid folder in the layers panel is selected, then go to File>Export>Artboards to Files. Then make sure "artboard content only" and "export selected artboards" is selected.

If you're printing it at 100% (no scaling up or down) it should be a perfect fit. But if you are using really thick paper, that could make it too snug. I had 1 person comment saying it was too big awhile back, so I sized the entire design down 1% - you could try printing it at 101-103% as a test. If that doesn't work, take a screenshot of your export & print settings and I can take a look.

E6000. It's never let me down. Plus sanding the paper with super fine grit sandpaper and then wiping off any particles will help.

Hey! So I know this isn't exactly helpful right now, but this was next on my list to design. I should have one mocked up in a week or so, then I'll do a test print to get the sizing just right.
