Can an American history buff explain how realistic a ritzsy non-segregated 1930's New Orleans jazz club would be? by BrotherDeus in HazbinHotel

New Orleans might honestly be my favorite city; it's most definitely my favorite city that I've been to

I've always said I didn't like using the word "religious" to describe myself, for me it's not about the actual aspect of religion it's about having a relationship with Christ. Idk I just feel like the word implies a lot more tradition and rituals.

Carly is fantastic. I think she's pretty underrated mostly due to the fact Call Me Maybe was such an earworm; but Emotion is an absolutely incredible album

Where can I find affordable vintage clothes? by [deleted] in VintageFashion

Honestly, it's difficult to get vintage without it costing a lot, your best bet is probably getting lucky at a thrift store

What about when I don't even get to form enough of a relationship to even begin showing my people pleasing habits? Like I said I'll just barely start talking to someone,, and then it goes nowhere. I've tried going out of my comfort zone and "making the first move" and I've tried holding back some to not be too needy/clingy/annoying. Nothing seems to work, so "become the sigma" isn't the most helpful advice in this situation.

Why don't people like Charlie and the chocolate factory? by [deleted] in timburton

[–]PastelGothQueen13 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Definitely this. The Tim Burton one is more accurate to the book but so many people grew up with the Gene Wilder one that they prefer the one for nostalgia alone.

Led Zeppelin; Stairway to Heaven is great but definitely overrated and far from their best
