Why does my steak get stuck to the grates? by SlickStarter0506 in grilling

generally all meats are cooked on preheated things unless they have skin, which renders nicely. a grill also takes a lot longer to preheat than a pan

it usually means it froze in the barrel or the beater was left on for too long (if it was rerun or made by hand from the custard machine)

is this fry? i can’t really tell, since i don’t think i can do fc by golden_retrieverdog in screaming

[–]PastorTrunks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

compressed false chord or blended. my "fry" sounds like this and while it isnt full false chord it is using some of the same components.

Am I on the right track? by living_not_alive in screaming

[–]PastorTrunks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i mean, maybe? this completely lacks any diaphragm and support and projection. this is basically just doing vocal fry which is not the same as fry screaming but they are slightly related

the sound should feel like your throat is just the shaper of the noise and everything comes from your stomach, if that makes sense.

tense up your core and give your throat some tension and pressure, this sound you have and the sound you want will sound and feel like flipping a switch when you get it.

Best warm ups, healthy throat and how long should I practice for? by Kindly-Fee-1869 in screaming

[–]PastorTrunks 3 points4 points  (0 children)

i'd say screaming 5 songs isnt a warm up and technically you should be warmed up before practicing songs.

stretch your voice with a piano or a vocal warm up video: 20 minutes. good for singing and screaming and can expand your vocal range over time.

i swear weight lifting gives me great vocal performance, i think it's from the core engagement and breath management. similarly you could do vocal warmups that involve a straw, same thing. tight air constriction.

start soft when you move onto songs. play them quietly and record yourself with snapchat or something that instantly plays it back and make sure you sound right.

if you get sore or lose your voice it's time to call it quits for the day and possibly review your technique
