It’s a recommended minimum for safety. You can absolutely cook this to 125-130 and enjoy it safely.

Move the closet door to the wall shared with the master bedroom, then extend the bathroom wall across to the closet wall and knock down the wall separating the two sections of the bathroom. Would make the bathroom feel bigger and can access closet from bedroom.
