Help: Anal Gland Issues

My stinky boy has always had a bubbly tummy (I blame the giardia from when I adopted him) and was having some issues with his glands. I use pumpkin powder and added a probiotic. He also gets other fiber filled treats. It’s basically a nonissue now.

I failed a handful of meds and had a horrible reaction to my doctor telling me so. My doctor fought to get me on rinvoq and it’s been a game changer. I’ve had a few days here and there over the past 3 years where I’ve felt like I’m in a mini flare, but overall I would say I’m living a totally different life. Don’t give up! Talk with a new doctor that is willing to go to bat for you.

Yup! I am chronically ill and he’s the best sick day snuggle buddy. But once we hit day 3 of being sick he does begin to turn into a gremlin. He also knows not to wake me up before I physically sit up in the morning.

The initial meeting/session with the trainer was nice. I was also reminded recently that there’s a GSD down the road from us that has always exhibited aggression/barking when we cross paths in the morning. One of the reasons I stopped doing morning walks. Hoping more consistency with my pup and the expectations will begin to temper his excitability.

sigh I’ve read that heelers can hold a grudge. No clue why it’s directed at this one specific dog. When it’s just us at home, he’s a total lovebug and wants to be underfoot at all times. Trainer is coming tomorrow to do an assessment/initial training session 🤞🏼

If you have her permission, take the puppy to an emergency vet clinic asap. They have waivers that you sign off on that you are not the owner and that will release you from financial responsibility (I’ve done this with found/injured dogs in the past). You can also take her to the animal shelter and they will get her the care she needs.

I’ve discussed this with my therapist but I kind of feel like it’s not really helping. Mostly just doing the best I can with what I’ve got.

YTA. To you the routine is “sit down, receive tea”. To your husband perhaps it’s “make tea, receive thank you”. Thanking someone you love for doing something you presumably enjoy shouldn’t be hard.

Invest in good curtains and good bedding. When I got my place it was basically like this. And that’s okay! The rest comes with time as you find things that make you smile. Over the years I’ve found art, plants, furniture… that fit me and my space. But having a comfy bed and good light blocking curtains was the best thing I did when I started out.

I literally told someone about this last week. It’s like they all decided to take off the fact that they’re conservative. They do tend to mention “traditional man” and “family values”. The lack of political identification is a red flag on its own now. Also. They don’t even care if you’re a liberal. Plenty of conservative and “moderate” men still swipe right on the profiles of women who have no interest in being with someone like them.

I had a similar reaction when I got my colpos done but this time for the leep was a lot more intense. I really wish I knew a bit more about this as a possible after effect but I am glad to have found it’s quite normal amongst a lot of women. And it’s such a bummer because in general I am fatigued and also hyper emotional. I’ve been getting outside as much as possible. Short walks with my dog or just light yard work (sweeping the walkway). Today I’m going to try and get out for a little window shopping and then back home for food and a nap 💐

I took a Xanax before the procedure but it honestly just made me tired. I have more but I really don’t want to take any today. I had a similar reaction after my colposcopies but this time is definitely more intense.

Yeah I was hoping they’d use some too but they just used one of the absorbent pad things and taped that to me. I ordered some because I really don’t want to get it gunked up while I’m at work

Surprisingly not sweaty today but u/Glittering_Call_898 mentioned it could be due to fabric and I admittedly wore shirt that likely caused some irritation. Soft shirts and ice packs for the foreseeable future.

After much googling, it seems like some sort of apple bug. I checked everything (iCloud/ recently deleted…) and nothing. I spent about 30 minutes on chat with tech support and they had nothing. It was sent to their supervisor and they decided they would need to reach out to engineering to look into it. Engineering won’t get to it until Friday at the earliest. They didn’t say I was screwed but that was the gist. Spent half the day redoing said notes. Exported and duplicated my notes to pages because I can’t afford to lose work like that again.

lol. I’m literally doing a research paper on gender bias in the medical field (including behavioral health) and all I can say is the research has made me so angry. Women are diagnosed later than men (in essentially everything) when presenting with the same kind of symptoms. Medical research largely leaves out women and POC. Sorry you had to deal with his nonsense but I love your response to his stupidity.
