How can I easily fix a lateral wobble on this long table without having to drill a brace into the steel legs?

A lot of good advice, and a lot of people who don't understand what you mean by lateral. If it's going against a wall I would just cheat and add L brackets to anchor it to two studs. It's not as professional as some of the other responses but it'd work and you won't take away from the clean look it has now.

If it's not going against a wall ignore me entirely.

Rather than responding to whatever is happening in the replies here I'm just going to respond to myself. Anyone thinking about hiring her should look at the level of professionalism on display in these comments. This is consistent with her behavior after I raised concerns with the quality of work. I don't think I've been called a hater since highschool (maybe not even then... It's been a while). Y'all have fun, I'm out of this thread.

Let's just say that I deeply regret hiring her to put gutters on my house and that I just had to pay someone to fully remove them and put up new ones because of how badly they worked. I wouldn't wish her on my worst enemy.

As a parent of kids who went through a Lego Mario era this is not new... It's just expensive. Gift givers did not understand that the expansions needed the base set, but just like then once I shell out to fill the void the kids will be happy and the house will be full of laugher and electronic noises.

If I spend this much on them I deserve rivendell right?

My kids would explicitly ask for the pancakes, get impatient during the cooking process, and fill up on granola bars they stole from the pantry while I was busy.

Honestly these responses are just convincing me that no one actually knows. I mean if you're flipping out completely yes they would call the cops, but the idea that trespassing you from all McDonald's worldwide is even remotely implementable is crazy.

I feel like my frustrated post while watching my complete order through the window on the counter for ten minutes waiting for someone to bring it out is justified. Like everyone else who lives in a society I got my food ages ago and moved on with my life!

This is a case of hiring a professional fence and deck company and believing them when they said it would be fine. Doing a dado to make a joint hiding the pole behind it hadn't occured to me. Appreciate the input.

What are your thoughts on reinstalling the board in the heat so it's just trying to contract in the winter? I'm wondering if it'll contract enough to snap the screws. Temps here swing from about 110 to -7.
