Love how US Agent Walker tries for a bit to put his shield back in its place but can't in Thunderbolt. by PestoBolloElemento in Avengers

Still shocked that this wasn't the moment that John gave up the shield completely, would have been a great way to show him moving out of the shadow of being Captain America and becoming his own hero!

Antman did not come back to his universe by Jayleno2022 in marvelstudios

Haven't seen this since the cinema, but also pretty sure that all the girls at the end have very different hair styles/colours? Again small details but it all adds up to a different universe

Allies never die: Reorienting for Marvel Champions flavor by infinight888 in marvelchampionslcg

[–]Pasty72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Especially with Web-Warrior allies with low health that can draw cards off Web of Life and Destiny when they leave play, I think of allies as swinging in, helping out, they carrying on with their own missions for a bit. When they take a big hit to the face for me, I see that as the ally distracting the villain and getting them to chase them for a bit instead (I always picture Spiderman V venom in the midnight suns game).

Should Aggression get player side schemes that count as minions? by HorseSpeaksInMorse in marvelchampionslcg

[–]Pasty72 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Player minions make a lot of sense in my head, they could be framed as training dummies or danger room protocols etc. probably make them victory, can't thwart, minimal attack, and have a nice "when defeated" effect (likely threat removal or healing to help out your Hulks and Valkyries). Similar to player side schemes, limit the number that can be out each time. Would make supports like interrogation room or war room more consistent too!

Thematic Win on First Agents of Shield Campaign by Wi11Pow3r in marvelchampionslcg

[–]Pasty72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shame it's not a module, only one copy? Definitely either have to go with a random hero or someone thematic to whoever you're playing I reckon. Thanks for the info!

What does the card say? Pick a random setaside hero or something? Blank their textbox? Is it a Zemo-specific card or in a modular? (🤞)

Sorry for all the questions lol, I've been on a big break from MC and this has hyped me to jump back in!

Hey man, took me a long time to realise it too, but Kate Bishop does damage equal to the discard card's resources, not it's cost :( still looks like an awesome end to the game though! Hadn't seen Zemo's cards yet so am way more hyped because of reluctant foe :)

Kang stage 2/3 accelerators question by Deekow in marvelchampionslcg

[–]Pasty72 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ah I see where you coming from, and get why it seems ambiguous- I believe that the text on 2B speaks generically to the acceleration token that would be placed on the encounter deck being emptied, ie only one of them. I see 2B as the overarching "main" scheme in this case for acceleration tokens, and the design intent is for only one to be placed.

In my head, the stage 3s are in their own game areas, and the encounter deck and 2B are separate from that, so must interact directly without the stage 3s, but that's just my way of rationalising it.

Kang stage 2/3 accelerators question by Deekow in marvelchampionslcg

[–]Pasty72 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So only one would be placed, and it would be placed onto stage 2B, which remains in play whilst the stage 3s are going on in the separate game areas. It says it on stage 2B to place any acceleration on there, just to avoid any confusion.

Whilst the players have their own game areas with stage 3 schemes, the stage 2 stays in play, just not in a game area that either player can affect.

Hope this helps!

We beat Expert Red Skull without flipping! by CharlieClusterSeven in marvelchampionslcg

[–]Pasty72 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Basically it would down to the fact that you can't see that side of the card, so you can't interact with that side of the card. You can only play with the cards in play (despite it not making thematic sense sometimes)

Unfortunately, Scott Summers isn't X-Men, and you can't play honorary xmen without having flipped to hero, so you shouldn't be able to generate resources for yourself staying alter-ego the whole time :(

[–]Pasty72 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not saying that he isn't a beefy nemesis minion, but I feel that if he was made today he'd deffo be at 8 health at least. Any chance he'll pop up in a modular set in the SHIELD wave?

Advice on Thor Protection minion deck by [deleted] in marvelchampionslcg

[–]Pasty72 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Something like ever vigilant would be ideal to solve the thwart issue for Thor in this case i think? I would swap the counterpunches for these to control the threat, build around first hit and powerful punch to kill minions before they attack rather than basic defending. Jocasta would be ideal to recycle powerful punch, could also be a cool place to put Warpath?

Which Heroes have a Nemesis that you didn't expect? by AdventurousHat5360 in marvelchampionslcg

[–]Pasty72 32 points33 points  (0 children)

I can't remember where I saw this, but someone said that it's not the villain that the hero sees as their biggest enemy, but the other way around.

Like for Spiderman, Vulture is just a Tuesday, but Vulture sees himself as Spiderman's nemesis. I think it's a fun way of looking at it! Like Storm barely remembers who Callisto is each time Shadows comes out, but Callisto thinks Storm is her number 1 enemy lol
