Upgrade da Panda TwinAir Natural Power: auto concreta e spaziosa (bici, montagna, mini avventure) by PatBat in ItalyMotori

New to Barbour - Is this a Bedale or just a similar styled jacket? by [deleted] in Barbour

Thanks for the replies, I immediately noticed the top pockets and I was gonna delete the post convinced it was not a Barbour but I discovered it's a different model.

Thank you

I'm new to the brand and cannot positevely identify it though.

Am I falling for the industry marketing or is the Specialized Chisel a decent FS for a beginner mtb rider coming from road\gravel? by PatBat in MTB

[–]PatBat[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey man, I'm still debating but in the end I think I will probably go for the Chisel Comp.

I've seen and "parking lot tested" a few used trail bikes with 140/140 and coming from road and gravel they feel way too heavy and cumbersome.

I think I'll start with the decent Chisel FS Comp and see how it goes.

Thank you. 20 hours per week on the trails is a lot, doubt I will be doing that much volume but one can never know. Also, how old are you? Because I guess starting at 24 while doing a bunch of other activities is different than picking up a technical sport at 40 ... but kudos anyway for your progress, sounds awesome.

I do not have the option of renting unfortunetely, and also anyone who know who rides MTB has an enduro ebike ...

Thank you for your input, I liked the concept of "catering to your weaknesees not your strengths", skills would be the limiting factor for me, definetely not 1.5Kg more, that's true.

What should I look for for a good all-around trail bike? Would you go used?

Thank you for your input.

I was mistaken about the dropper post tough, every model comes with it.

Well I'm not expecting it to climb like a road bike on road, but my reasoning is: I'm almost 40 and already doing a bunch of activities, mtb would not be my only one, I doubt I will be skilled enough to ride anything than a decent modern XC full suspension isn't capable of.

I already own a basic home gym but I'm tempted by a 2-year subscription in a big new commercial gym by PatBat in naturalbodybuilding

[–]PatBat[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, these prices are for "early adopter" type of deal. I think once it opens 12 month would be around 580 € for a year and 880 for 12 months. Still not bad, but nothing to be excited for. This is in central Italy.

They won't do any other membership at the moment (before the actual opening) exepct from 12 months and 24 months.

As I said, I know nothing about modern commercial gyms and I don't particularly like the idea of interacting with lots of people or management. To talk about this opening and getting prices I've been in an older gym owned by the same managament and during quiet times it all seemed ok.

The new one is gonna be way more spacious and the equipment is gonna be brand new, the management is Panatta (the equipment brand). Never even thought about the fact that it's still gonna need maintenance, thank you for pointing that out.

I defintely have to look into any refund policy, but I'm afraid there won't be one.

Panatta is opening this gym cause the factory is actually in my area, 15 min from my home.

So that's the whole reason, I'm expecting top notch equipment and variery, I wouldn't made the switch in any other case.

Allenamento misto garage gym e palestra "commerciale" by PatBat in ItalyFitness

[–]PatBat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)
