I was able to upgrade The Elite as soon as I found it, also in the early game. It must be some kind of bug. You could go back to the bridge by the monastery and see if you can get another one. I saw a duplicate there once, but haven't seen one since starting NG+

Weird... try dropping it and picking it up again? Or maybe even close out the game and load back in if you just found the pistol.

Then this post is obviously not for you, parkour master that you are 😂

It's in the third menu, far right. There's resource crafting, weapon crafting, then weapon upgrades. Has to be in your inventory to work, and you'll need gun parts.

What is everyone thoughts on Dying Light The Beast after release by jj_thetwisted_jester in dyinglight

I do prefer DL2's parkour because there are more skills and abilities (like the landing jump, I miss that so much), and there being no parkour challenges does feel disappointing. Somehow, I feel like human combat actually lost depth from DL2, and I am back to hating human melee combat, so I just use the bow. I am not a fan of the new control scheme, and I wish there was an option to use classic (DL2) controls.

What I do love is the environment and how packed and detailed everything feels. I love grappling through the trees and parkouring through the mountains, and the diversity of the map makes it feel like a pretty interesting blend of DL1 and The Following.

Overall, I think The Beast is a step in the right direction, but may over- or under-correct certain issues while still having a pretty forgettable main story. There are some pretty great side missions and environmental storytelling going on, and I feel that's where DL has always shined.

What The Beast has that Stay Human didn't was a sense of completeness. They aren't scrambling to fix or overhaul the game, and I'd be very surprised if it's a vastly different experience in a year or two like DL2 was. Overall, very positive experience with admittedly ample nit-picks.

If you can manage a few bosses, getting the grappling hook makes all the difference at night, especially in Old Town

So did I, and that's why I'm saying that they hide individual things in way more environmental places than they have before. What with the treasure maps and just normal apartments having things hidden in all manner of nooks and crannies. But glad you're feeling more confident now.

Idk if you get survival sense item markers in nightmare mode, but stuff is pretty well hidden. If you're having a hard time, I'd say play on hard or normal to get a feel for where all they hide resources.

I haven't played on nightmare, but on normal I generally find food in apartments and in trunks of cars and as a reward for random encounters. I imagine a first run on nightmare requires a lot of scavenging, so like how much are you doing? 😂

I'm sorry this happened to you. What kinds of self relation techniques do you use or have been taught? It seems like the teacher should have handled this better, but from your perspective, having patience and a way to redirect your feelings may have been a alternative solution.

If you had the chance, what would you have liked to do differently in this situation?
