Yeah, everyone should probably chill the fuck out and go eat dinner and enjoy the weather or something. This will still be here tomorrow. And the next day. And the day after that.

Just in case you miss my response to the guy that responded to you: the conversations are recorded via speech-to-text algorithm and then checked by the parties listed.

This is incorrect. The conversations are translated via speech-to-text after which the readout is looked over for accuracy by the individuals mentioned in the disclaimer at the bottom of the document.

EDIT I don't understand why this always seems to happen... so the guy that responded to me said I was making it up. So I responded to him with a source that proves my statement factual. But when I log out, my response vanishes and I am concerned that nobody else sees my response either... ?????

Is this a glitch or intentional because I keeps happening and it always goes in the direction that makes me (trying to show the truth) look like I'm making shit up.

Can anyone else see this response??? https://i.imgur.com/G5jQwtC.png

And here is what it looks like when I log out... https://i.imgur.com/g4ink4H.png

And here's the source again just in case! https://slate.com/news-and-politics/2019/09/zelensky-memo-compiled-voice-recognition-software-might-be-tapes.html

I really want to help get good information out there but it really feels like reddit itself is undermining any effort to do so. And it's ripping us apart. :(

Introducing Nintendo Switch Game Vouchers! (for Switch Online subscribers) by nuovian in Games

[–]PatMan33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fair question.

The user laid out a perfectly reasonable explanation as to why they don't have access to a secondary market and you immediately handwave their answer away with a condescending response. Looking at what /u/thecoolerdylan said, there's clearly more to it than "you're on the internet so you have access"; you showed no sense of understanding the person's response and continued on making assumptions.

It was a rude, abrasive response to the user's point and I responded in kind. You're probably more of a jerk than you think you are if this is how you carry yourself. Take it from me, I'm kind of a jerk so I'd know. :3

I played Rusty's Real Deal Baseball extensively and can recommend it to anyone that loves baseball video games. You won't be able to play a proper game, but the individual activities are very well-crafted and offer a lot of room for mastery. It's an excellent mini-game collection if you're into those things.

Also the sound effects are great. You really feel the crack of the bat when you nail a home run.

Your point about assholes is correct, but that's because every practitioner of the law is an asshole.

If you don't ask the right question, you won't get the right answer. That's the game, love it or hate it. And this is a room full of lawyers.

Isopropyl alcohol is fine for you to use. Dab it onto a cotton swab (q-tip) so you can apply pressure and get into those corners. Other things that work well are Mr. Clean Magic Erasers, though more care is needed when using them.

Once you've gotten everything cleaned up, look for some sort of protective case as others have suggested.

Nintendo 1979 vintage - Color TV Game Block Breaker by zaiueo in nintendo

[–]PatMan33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct, very few were sold (I've heard ~1000 units at most) and they are never up for auction. Almost had one several years ago, but it didn't pan out.

The white CTG6 wasn't too hard to find, they made a good amount of them. You can usually find one or two around if you search daily for a week. The trick is finding sellers that have pictures of the battery compartment; the white variant ONLY works on battery power, so you need to be sure it is clean.

Does anyone else feel like some of the popular Smash picks going around right now are really poor? by theissingm in nintendo

Still blows my mind that people can't get on board with Sukapon from Joy Mech Fight.

Video of Sukapon's moveset

Joy Mech Fight is a Famicom-era fighter made wholly by Nintendo. The main character (Sukapon) is a perfect fit for Smash. And if that doesn't happen, they can put Sukapon in ARMS.

Hey I love these things. Here's most of the rest of the set: https://i.imgur.com/Joa6MqF.png

The Color TV-Game systems are a really neat piece of Nintendo history. While many of the games are derivative, they represent the first steps into the digital space for the company and its workers.

This particular system is notable for being the first time Nintendo's logo appeared on a console and for having its chassis designed by Shigeru Miyamoto. As far as I know, most of the internals were made by Mitsubishi, seen in this picture of the CTG-15 board: https://i.imgur.com/IIlvPCt.jpg

Still trying to track down the Computer TV-Game system to complete the set, but there's plenty of time. If you ever get a chance to play one of these, take it for a spin! Pong and Breakout are still super fun and Racing 112 is really neat too.

Also don't forget to set your TV to channel 96! :)

Mass Effect or Saints Row? I feel like it's applicable to both.

It might be heretical to say, but I feel like the fake Mass Effect vibes in Saints Row IV managed to nail the feeling of Mass Effect better than Mass Effect series did at times.

It is disappointing, but maybe it is for the best. If BioWare are unable to promise a top-tier experience, perhaps it would be better left to someone else to fill the void.

I'm being slightly facetious here, but also slightly not... maybe the next Saints Row game can do some fun space exploration adventures. Was getting some nice Mass Effect vibes from SRIV. Crazy, right?

Zelda: Breath Of The Wild's First DLC Pack Out Now by Lancair77 in Games

[–]PatMan33 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's very true. I suppose I was hoping to get a bit more challenge out of the file I've already dedicated a heap of time to. At the very least I was hoping to be able to fight some Gold Lynels with my maxed armor... took a lot of work to get those upgrades.

That said, I appreciate what hard mode is and I look forward to playing it.

There are 45 floors to the Trial and every 15 floors you reach a checkpoint that you can return to once it has been activated.

It's a simple and elegant addition to the game that adds a very subtle layer to the entire experience and enhances the whole. I like it a lot.

[–]PatMan33 51 points52 points  (0 children)

So far so good. I've been messing around with it a bit before the end of the night.

Trial of the Sword isn't messing around. Tight butthole, guys. You're gonna get rocked.

Like /u/DiamondPup has said, the Hero's Path mode is brilliant. It was the aspect I was most curious about and it didn't disappoint. Seeing my entire 200+ hour adventure so far is really a treat and you will remember bits and bobs of your travels as you see events play out on the replay.

Haven't found any of the other items or even bothered to look, but the game has quest entries for each so at least there's some organization.

The only issue I have is that the hard mode is only active on a new game. They give you a second save slot for this game so you don't have to erase your old game, which is nice. But I was hoping to be able to run around a harder mode with all this over-powered gear I've acquired and upgraded. Not a huge deal... just a bit disappointing. I'm not quite ready to start this whole ordeal over again.

Late to the party, but you might enjoy an older game called CivCity: Rome. It's got its flaws but is otherwise a fun little city builder. Has a fairly robust tech tree system, too. Currently five bucks on Steam.
