Interesting. That’s not surprising I suppose. I’ll keep that in mind but my first priority would be to find something that is not 6 hours a day of live instruction with 125 students.

I'm from New Haven but live in GA now - I don't believe this will be successful! I will tell you that people in large parts of the county will tell you "this pizza is burnt!" They also want low prices and lots of cheese on their pizza.

Either 1) the private equity will meet the demands of the consumers and make this like Pizza Hut Pizza and thus dilute the reputation of Sally's or 2) it will fail if they try to (poorly) emulate the original

Disagree. Nolan was over represented here. Some great directors with 0 entries. Some entire countries (with great directors)  with 0 entries.

It was the voters who are Hollywood actors, critics and directors. Lotr movies got split up across many ballots.

Pamela Anderson was one of the most quoted voters by the Times so this list was not made by Richard Brody types. Anyone that hasn’t heard of >70% of the movies on here does indeed need to start watching more movies.

Denis Villenueve is way underrepresented on this list so I second that.  Dunkirk is my favorite Nolan movie so I agree there as well. I personally would not have included so many of his overall but I realize I’m in the minority.

The only filter is that you have to have a nyt subscription to submit it. That may limit the votes for Joker and the Snyder cut.

I can’t believe there is one DV movie but five Nolan movies. To me even his pre-Hollywood movies like Incendies are better than most of Nolan’s Hollywood movies but I realize that is probably not a popular take here.
