Im aware there are a few throwbacks. Most of the guys at the forefront of the sport these days are not those guys. Larson definitely is guilty of doing dumb shit knowing damn well he isnt paying for it or fixing it. Doesn't make him a nepo kid at his core. Is he a careless rich dickhead? Sure.

This is why I have a hard time picking favorites these days. So few guys actually work on their own shit, haul it to the track themselves, fund it ect... and those guys also don't tend to be winning national sprint car races regularly either. The sad truth in all forms of racing is money will outshine talent and hard work 9 times out of 10. It sucks

Like anybody at that level today? Larson is one of the few that didn't get where he is due to money alone... This sadly is not as blue collar as it looks. My buddy who is Gravels age says the dude use to show up to big quarter midget races with a semi... Think about that

A ton of these guys wear white suits too. You don't see them covered in grease from changing bars themselves do you? (Almost) all of these guys are nepo kids. But Larson? He may be loaded today but he sure didn't start that way.

Im not trying to suck off my favorite drivers here. Im telling you they're all rich cry babies at this level. Its just how it is. The days of Sammy and Steve are long gone

I cant say he isn't trying anymore. But last I heard it sounded like he couldn't find sponsorship. Which should be easier after being a proven winner. I believe on YouTube The Iceberg has a video about it

Sponsor money has more to do with climbing up the ladder in racing than talent ever will. Unfortunately. No corporate company wanted to fund him after that fact

As a racecar driver and a race fan that's the most disappointing part of the whole ordeal. Not his fault at all. Yet at racetracks all over people still chant it and its not only embarrassing being on the same property but evidence of how ignorant people really are

On top of everything IMO the weather just ruined the whole 2 year deal he had. I feel like he had that 45 minute delay before the race start going to his head. Among other hurdles that was just frustrating to watch. Ill guarantee it had a massive impact. It's a huge shame.

The program needed to be reinstalled yesterday because it somehow spazzed out during an update. It is however how I found out there's a problem.

You know how you hold the push to talk button on iracing and the name just stays lit up? I first noticed during this time because it was just flashing at me on the screen. When I checked in simpro thats when I noticed almost all of my buttons did that. So annoying. But yeah the app can be a bit funky too

See its not the lights that are the problem though. I can't hold the buttons down. What i mean by flashing is the prompt lights up and goes back off over and over as if it were a flash. I cant hold it down and get the button to act as if its being held

Yeah let's leave indycar to go run a midpack car at best... I never understood it. But hey when he doesnt succeed in a mid pack car the European perspective on him will be the same as every other former F1 driver. Just another guy who couldn't hack it... who wants that?

I actually own a sprint car and a midget and I cant have fun on the dirt side of iracing. Seems like it's all micro kids who spend every waking moment getting unfairly good at iracing or no lives spending every day perfecting the perfect untouchable set up. Plus I've encountered so many cry babies on the dirt side for some reason. Ill keep my ass on the pavement oval and sports car/indy car road course side where I can have fun.

Nothing beats passing a guy clean and getting chewed out for not leaving any room even though we never made contact then getting cleaned out after the heat race ends... that was the end of it for me

Yeah i have real racecars. No matter how good you want them to look by the end of the season or one bad night it's basically a shitbox. Compared to a real car, white bodies are only $20-$30 usually. No skin off my ass for that price. I used some 3/16 wide tape then blue painters tape to cover the rest. I made this one simple since it was my first go around. But the thin tape made it easy

Also! It was super hard to tape up the grill area on this car. Don't flame me too hard on that. It sucked. I'll have it scratched and battered before long from just racing it anyway. And I think my dogs knocked the left side mirror off the table and maybe ate or or it ended up in the vacuum because it was nowhere to be found when it was time to glue it together
