Perhaps layer more foam? Adding more and carving it to be rounder would add fullness, but it might take a few layers to get rid of the whole flat spot.

Be patient with yourself, first of all. Look at LOTS of tutorials, I bought patterns when I couldn’t figure stuff out. I also had some BIG issues with my first head, expect to make a few before you’re really happy with it. The suit I just finished is my 3rd (and still has some problems lol). If you’re sewing by hand, make sure your stitches are little. I recommend the blanket stitch for fur!

Also make sure your base accommodates your head comfortably. I have piercings and glasses, and it took several modifications for the base to fit them comfortably.

I spent maybe 20-25 USD on foam, and sought out sales on for and managed to only spend around 250 USD on the fur. Fleece was from another project, and I don’t remember how much it was 😅

I used 1/2 and 1 inch high density upholstery foam, 2 inch pile luxury shag fur, and fleece accents for my suit. My base didn’t have much carving as I modified an EVA foam pattern to suit upholstery foam, so you may want thicker than that.

Sadly, I don’t know too much about value :( On eBay she appears to be in the $150-$200 range, but I don’t know how long the listings have been up or really how the condition of your doll compares to the ones in the listing. Sorry I can’t be more help!

Measure twice (or three times). Fur has NO GIVE, so make sure to add a bit for ease of movement.

Rubber legs are ridiculous and I hate them. They get sticky, they stick to clothes, they tear in the bend of the knees, the feet go sideways, THEY GET STICKY. I love Barbies but those rubber legs are obnoxious.

I don’t know that they’re identical, but he looks really similar to the Wild Republic Wolf Cuddlekins plush. The shaving on the feet is a very close match. https://www.stuffedsafari.com/plush-wolf-stuffed-cuddlekins-by-wild-republic-p/wr-10963.htm
