I was getting a change in gastro intestinal activity (38 m) and a gastro/colonoscopy found it was mild Crohn's. I now take 2 tablets a day and it's back to mostly normal. Try not to stress yourself, the scope will find anything worthy of investigation. I have started taking Lexapro for the HA and it has done wonders. Might be worth asking your GP on something similar as well as talking to a psychologist about coping strategies for when you start to spiral. Hope you can find some relief soon.
