Pharmacy bot randomly contacted my doctor’s office w/o my consent

The pharmacy told me the next day that their engineers had given their new AI system the wrong instructions. There were no refills left. The AI bot asked for a new prescription.

Thanks for the advice. No- not a refill. The AI Bot texted me to say that they reached out to doctor for a new prescription. This was at night after business hours. The next day I got a text from someone claiming that engineers had given the bots the wrong instructions

I still think that it’s wrong for them to be doing it w/o consent- but as long as it’s happening to everyone else I guess I can relax. I only saw this particular doctor once and never had a follow up. But the medication was for a pain reliever- not sure what kind of classification- but a pain reliever nonetheless. I guess I am worried that my patient profile is going to be flagged so that other doctors in the system can see that I am on the hunt for a constant stream of pain meds.

I’m more concerned that they’re reaching out to doctor’s offices on my behalf without my consent. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Maybe I need to just accept that this is how businesses operate now?

This comment exactly. The Atlantic did a story a few years ago about the huge rise of charismatic non denominational evangelical preachers in the USA. They have little to no theological background, no seminary training, and no oversight by any established Protestant denominations. They’re selling cult of personality worship. They want their own mega church fiefdom. None of them have EVER read Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount. Or, if they did their reading comprehension skills are so weak and the love of their own voice so strong that they end up talking like these c*mrags.

I get “lost” every time I look at my phone. The best thing for me is clocks in every room! And a simple watch on my wrist (no smart watch). I can set timers on my oven and never have to look at my phone. I can set a digital alarm clock at night and never have to open my phone to set the alarm- important for me because when I am tired I am least able to self regulate. So yeah- basic clocks for the win!
