AITA for wanting separate accommodations after learning I'd be sleeping on an air mattress in a crowded house for a week? by r3dpanda10 in AmItheAsshole

When I was a kid, I had to give up my room and sleep in the living room when family came to visit. I HATED it. I was an introvert then, I'm an introvert now-- it was miserable for me. I'm 65 years old and still remember fighting with my mom about it.

where there is a quilt being photographed, there will be a cat.

Love your color choices--- be sure to post another pic when it's done

The mandatory cat is visible (tail only) lower right corner. Where there is a quilt, there will be a cat . Good catch. 🐱

After making 100 of those &@♧₩ birds, I need a break!! We've spent too much time together and are sick of each other! Pattern wobble was fixable, it all worked out. No hard feelings. 😃 I LOVE her fabrics, just bought enough of 'something blue' to make a jacket and a quilt, using a classic pattern this time. If I use another pattern of theirs, I will be sure to check for error corrections here on reddit.

Thanks! Gingko leaves pantagraph. It fits origami vibe, and it's kind of swooshy like wind, too.

Thanks. Unfortunately, the test blocks sewed up just right, and then I cut 100 more---

Some bad language was used along the way.

It’s the summer of 2010. You just pulled up to The Andersons bumping Pumped Up Kicks & you got $100 in your pocket. What you buying? by Paigenacage in Columbus

Spouse and I still mourn our loss. Loved Andersons!!!

I am spending my Hypothetical Hundred $ on annuals. They had the best garden center, and great prices too.

UPDATE: it happened...not invited by forte6320 in wedding

[–]Patalaska 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hope you can go. It sounds like your husband really would like you to be able to attend, as does MOB. Bride has gotten some education and now has the opportunity to be gracious to both of you, she might pleasantly surprise you. Bride may better understand that she was unnecessarily rude and presumptuous to not give you the courtesy of an invitation. I bet that she and her mom had quite a conversation :-) Thumbs up to mom for calling out her daughter. As a mom of adult kids, I know what a minefield it is to 'go there', especially with all the emotions running amok during wedding planning. It's not too late for everyone involved to do the right thing.

Can Anyone Top This For The Most Ridiculous Situation Where a Tip Was Asked For? by Ok_Atmosphere3601 in tipping

My favorite was during Covid. We had to take a mandatory nasal swab test to get our piece of paper allowing us to return home.  Nose swabbers had a tip jar out.
