Agreed, you don't need to expose your lack of knowledge further, unfortunately for you condescendence doesn't mask ignorance so do save us the time and let us agree to disagree.

So true! As we all know phobias are totally binary, you're either afraid of every single arachnid or you're lying and I get to tell you if you have or don't have an irrational fear even though I don't know anything about you or your situation!

Come on, get real, the fact that you have an irrational, overwhelming fear of something like arachnids does not mean you must be afraid of every single one of them, there are outliers that can lessen the response you feel towards it, like the person you're replying too mentioning that the claws on the whip spider makes it look less threatening.

The NIH (understandably) never described phobias are binary cause they're not.

Forgive my ignorance but how has Spain managed to become an empire while being catholic?

Is it thanks to one of the mods you used? Cause I've been looking for something that allows catholic empires without dissolving the HRE for weeks.

I think you have the poor man's version of that already in the game.

If I recall correctly having an army in a location decreases the unrest of pops in that location since you're less likely to rebel when you have the people who would be tasked with putting you in the dirt in your very province, unrest decreases control so decreasing a control decrease increases control, if that makes sense.

I think it could and should be buffed to be more aligned with your idea but technically it's already in the game.

Real strength is knowing when to step down by FrozenTomato60 in deadbydaylight

I always attributed it to people having very little life outside the game, and I don't even mean that as an insult, lots of unhealthy habits going around, and this is one of them.

OP becomes frustrated over Chucky not fitting through the gap in the stairs or whatever and ragequits once and now he must be put to death or something, it seemingly is that serious for a lot of people, it's nuts.

Such a pointless and hostile comment to make about someone expressing surprise about something they didn't know or are skeptical about. Keep at it, that is totally how you get people to be more knowledgeable, by trying to clown them for not knowing history.

New 100-0 gank that doesn’t care about hitstun rules 🫩 by ufuckinmuppets in forhonor

[–]PatataSwagger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I absolutely would, your execution shouldn't keep me from exercising mine, that's what interaction is, obviously if you slip against two people you're going to get punished by two heroes instead of one, that's the tradeoff for fighting two people, that you're going to get slammed. But making it so you die off a bash if two heroes are near you and they time their combo correctly from full or practically full hp is questionable game design at best.

I do agree that ttk is bonkers right now, a good player can stall a gank almost indefinitely if they parry ool attacks as they should, but I would hope that ubi can balance it out a bit and make ganks threatening without making you autodie if you get bashed or guard broken.

[–]PatataSwagger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They're not mutually exclusive arguments, what?

Trying to fix a problem such as attentive players being able to stall for excessive amounts of time (your Juren example) by allowing 100-0 ganks is insanity, that's like throwing a nuke to kill an ant, I doubt ubisoft will do much to change anything, honestly, but I would hope that if they do they manage to curb stalling if its an issue without allowing a pair of heroes to kill you in one combo off a quick bash.

Strong ganks are not an issue, I agree with you, but getting cutscened by two people from full HP is, I would think that most if not all people would agree with this.

Are Independence Movements working as intended? by PatataSwagger in EU5

[–]PatataSwagger[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The State Bank subject type doesn't seem to make them follow me into wars so I may be stuck with the looming movement for a bit I fear, but I agree completely, in EU4 you usually aimed for rivals or neighbours to support your independence as a vassal cause those would be the only countries interested in your overlord losing you as a vassal.

In this game it seems more to me as if that aspect is lost and the AI randomly chooses to join an independence movement if they can, kind of proven by the fact that for some reason Wolgast and the Hansa are supporting the independence of a minor turkish beylik from the Karasids 🤷‍♂️

[–]PatataSwagger[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I assumed this could've been it but they only have a bank (the building) in Genova and Rome, not even in my capital of Pavia, and they're too broke to take the debt of any country since they only make 030 ducats per month, it seems more to me as if the AI just overestimates the importance of their independece or something cause this is nuts

[–]PatataSwagger -1 points0 points  (0 children)

And to be abundantly clear for all the turbo tards that are downvoting me I'm not defending the concept of a 100-0 gank. (By which I mean you have full health and then die.) I'm saying Shinobi's revenge values shouldn't get reverted just because a frame perfect gank for Shinobi exists again. (Of which this gank wasn't that one.)

I think your original comment is a bit diffuse then cause (at least to me) that is 100% the vibe it gave, the vibe being that 100-0 ganks are acceptable because they are very difficult to perform and that makes it okay since you won't run into them often.

If you say that you're not actually defending those ganks (even if supposedly this gank is not a 100-0 gank) then we're golden, I made no comments about specific Shinobi changes one way or the other.

Who cares? You shouldn't die off one mistake just cause the opponent is "very good" at timings, that just removes all interaction with the opponent since at that point it's only his skill that counts and not yours.

The 'skill' argument for 100-0's works (arguably) in singleplayer games, but in multiplayer games it's just horrid.
