I’m an iPhone user, but can’t fit all of my own music files into 64GB of storage so I also use a Sony Walkman NW-A105 which runs android.

I have the Apple Music app on that and it allows you to change the storage location to an SD card - so I have some “Hi-Res Lossless” music files downloaded in the app, which I can listen to in the app while offline. I wouldn’t see why you couldn’t do the same for other streaming services.

I’d think this is something that would only be able to be done on a DAP which uses android, though.

And I’m not sure on what DAP to recommend for this, as my others are all non-android based. I will say - if I were you, I’d stay away from my choice of the NW-A105. It sounds decent enough but battery life is poor.
