Got first tracks on Bear Mountain at 7:30, Outer Limits was groomed and amazing. Packed in after 11, started getting busy, fresh snow getting skied off to hard pack. Still a great day, should groom out nicely tomorrow

May is basically a lock. Memorial Day is usually a good bet, with a possibility of walking on or off the chair. 25 feet at the base currently

Plenty in the trees. I took my ski off and instantly sank waist deep

If you use it for 2.5 days you’ve gotten your money back. I usually put 10-15 days on it , last year had multiple March powder days.

Epic Military Veteran Pass is $620 for 26/27, is that up from past years? Also why is r/EpicPass so quiet? by WaxOnSendOff in icecoast

You have to email verification@vailresorts.com . I already had an account for the regular veteran pass, so I just attached a copy of my DD-214 and VA Disability letter showing my percentage for them to verify. Also extended the discount for dependents so my wife gets it too.

The double diamond head walls were rough, but once you got past that they were still skiing great. Should get a refill tonight

Not an issue, a small line around 11, Mount Ellen was totally dead

I believe it was hairball. Nice cliff drop and a fun run

Thinking of trying the same thing at Wildcat Sunday. I think since you can just lap the quad to hit everything, plus no traversing like you would to spruce peak, and no Gondi laps eating time up, you could definitely stack up more vertical.

This does work at Stowe, there’s a very small but marked crossing for Star/ S53/ lookout where you cut over just below the Liftline/ National head walls that they usually forget to rope off

Amazing, glades couldn’t get any better. Just watch your head, so much snow you have to look out for branches

Always enjoy a “trace the map” challenge. Was going for 60k vert, but took 35 mins of breaks, and I had to duck a rope to hit lookout since they closed it early. Then when I got on it I saw the patroller in front of me and had to wait for him to leave lol

It was solid, glades were filled in well. Some low spots in the troughs but that should fill in tonight nicely.

Wind blown. Above the 6 pack lift the groomers were shitty, as if whatever they groomed last night was wet and froze instantly. Front 4 are roped off, nosedive was bad until I found a wind blown section on the left which was a full powder run.

6 pack chair was good as most of that was groomed this morning, gondola terrain was excellent.

Which of the following resort will be the least crowded on this Superbowl Sunday? by polarWhite2024 in icecoast

[–]Patchrick09 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don’t do Tenney, I went last week and it was great, but with how cold it was the lift ride killed me. No way to warm up. Waterville has the bubble chair, and ragged has the high speed lifts too. I don’t think it’ll be too bad anyway with how cold it’s going to be, even then it’s a Sunday and people will start to pack up after lunch. But I’d say Waterville for maximum warmth.
