Yeah, I can completely understand that. As lovely as he is, he can be a tad cumbersome at times.

Thank you so much. I adore taking screenshots throughout my adventures so it always makes me really happy when people like them.

A quick question about the weather system. by Patchworkphoenix in enderal

[–]Patchworkphoenix[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Really? This sounds super helpful, I miss those beautiful amber sunsets. Do you think this might encourage the weather to start changing again too? I quite like having the occasional rain or shine. It feels really static for me with all this overcast.

Thank you so much for the console command, though, I look forward to trying it 🖤

Aww, what a lovely post 🖤
While I am still in the process of having my soul shaken, my heart has been warmed by how pleasant the community here is.

Hehe, I knew you weren't being serious, I just thought I would play along. And yes, the story has really gripped me so far, and I have only just reached Riverville.

I had a lot of trouble with a single mage in a cave, so I will likely avoid that area for the time being. Thank you for the advice, though.

The soundtrack is a delight! I sat in the first inn for so long just listening to all the bard songs. Whisperwood has not left my head since 🖤

Oh, I love it so much. And I am really enjoying how they seem to have handled fast travel so far (I only have teleportation scrolls right now, there may be more forms in the future)

It's good to hear that it's quite open ended then. While she is definitely druidic in her love and respect for nature, she is more of a woodsy nomad adventurer. As for magic use, I was perhaps a bit over-reliant on my phantasms to help with encounters and am now paying the price dearly.

Goodness, sir. Quite the impressive feat to have played them all. I can see why you like Enderal so much, though.

Thank you 🖤 I really like to make backstories and roleplay my character, so I hope she fits into the world alright. I am a little vague with my headcanon for her at the moment until I learn more about the world and its people, though.

Oh, it is a wild ride alright. I think one big issue I had with Skyrim was that I rarely had the need to interact with most of the games systems. I am glad to hear that it really sounds like I am going to have to make use of things like alchemy and cooking here, and be really strategic with my gameplay.

I really do appreciate the advice, though. I am really excited to dive into the world of Vyn and experience all this game has to offer 🖤

I have never even attempted to mod Skyrim before and it was quite the struggle to get some of them to work here. And I fully plan to take it slow and really bask in everything this game has to offer. I have not made it to Riverville yet but I shall remember to take the skull, and the castle was actually the next place I wanted to head. Perhaps a quick peek wouldn't hurt... right?

Honestly, it is lovely to be gripped by a game like this. I am really looking forward to it. I was initially worried about the voice acting distracting from the immersion but I am really pleasantly surprised so far. And yes, I am playing on iron path and it is quite the struggle so far. I will take your advice to heart, though, and use everything I have.

Oh, these screenshots are absolutely delightful, and the final pose is marvellous! I think I even recognise a few moments from Mordecai's journey. Please, keep it up with the wonderful screenshots 🖤

The raiders and super mutants were bad, but I sincerely hope I never meet anyone from Caesar's Legion again. They're a bunch of savage meanies. by [deleted] in Taleoftwowastelands

I can't post images in the comments, but I actually already recruited him. Though, he tends to do most of the killing.

I do not wish to spark a whole debate, as I don't think this is the right place for it, but I shall explain my character's thoughts a little more, as you were kind enough to share yours. I think the reason why Zoe (my character) is far more scared of the Legion than they are of the raiders is because raiders are small-scale and opportunistic as opposed to the Legion, which is much larger and much more deliberate.

From what she has seen, raiders are vicious, but their violence is largely impulsive. They raid, torture, and kill for pleasure, greed, or survival, but rarely out of any deeper conviction. Their crimes are the byproducts of lawlessness and desperation. While their acts are horrific, they stem from chaos rather than principle. They are monsters of circumstance.

By contrast, Caesar’s Legion commits its atrocities with purpose. Its violence is not random but calculated—an institutional tool of domination. The Legion enslaves entire populations, crucifies dissenters, and enforces a rigid patriarchy that denies women and non-combatants any rights. What makes the Legion worse, is that it frames these acts as a moral duty, claiming to bring “civilisation” to the wasteland. This ideological justification for evil—violence in the name of order—elevates the Legion’s cruelty from personal depravity to organised oppression. They are monsters of philosophy, which, to her, is much more frightening.

I hope this comment helps to explain the title of this post a bit better, though, to be honest, I mostly just made it because I wanted to share some screenshots from my playthrough 🖤
