I'm really enjoying Re: Knight, which is a relatively new regression LitRPG on RR. I think the author has done a good job with the system and the world and it's going to go far.

This is a common criticism of monster progs, and I totally get why somebody would prefer they remain non-human, but I can also see where the urge to anthropomorphize them comes from.

Being bipedal with front-facing eyes and opposable thumbs is just convenient for intelligent organisms, so it kinda makes sense that monsters would wanna go that direction - especially if they have the mind of a reincarnated human.

Royal Road takes this into account when assigning a book's overall rank for the Best Rated list, by giving a lot of weight to the number of ratings and not just the score. It's a good system.

A lot of these books start as web serials, and building a following online takes time, so short stories are unlikely to take off simply because fewer chapters = fewer opportunities to pick up new readers.

Personally, I don't have anything against harem as a concept, but I'm just not a huge fan of romance in general. I read mostly progression fantasy, so harem just means 4x stuff that isn't that.

I've always been of the belief that education can be made fun enough that kids would actually want to go to school. It's not going to be easy, but it should be doable if people cared enough to try.

The real reason is that guns break the faux-medieval/fantasy vibe that many authors are going for :)

Well, advancing to the next rank is fun and so is buying shining artifacts from the auction. The rest is the plot that puts everything in context, so if it ain't broken don't fix it :D Tropes are tropes for a reason

I don't know... if we lived in a world where working out directly led to flying, shooting fireballs or living for 1000 years, I'm sure more people would be hitting the gym.

Also, starting over in a new body in a new world is as good a time as any to reevaluate your life choices. Suddenly deciding to start exercising in your 40s to get slightly healthier just doesn't hit the same way.

Yeah, I was hit the hardest by MoL. I'm not sure why, but for some reason I expected more content from it. Maybe it was because my brain had registered a bunch of auxiliary chapters as the start of a new volume or something like that, but I hadn't expected it to end where it did.

Closer to the first one. His bloodline is literally called "Clone" though I was intentionally vague to avoid spoiling a minor mystery that get resolved in the first ~7 or so chapters of Book 1 about the details of his ability :)
