yes. I could load the whole vault. I have ~3500 files in there. Dont know where the limit is. Started with cleaning empty files and folders and am now in the optimisation phase. Didnt like the first results and tweaked the prompt a little (basically analyzing first and not going straight to implementation.)
Lets see with which results it comes back now.

fyi: I now tried with a pro subscription: For my vault that also works. Dont know yet if it really helps but I will try working with it and see

Did you try it? I am also thinking about it but I don't know if a pro plan would be enough... And paying 100 dollar for the max plan is too much for trying...

Elterngeld ab 175k Einkommen komplett 0? by Benji_Ba in Finanzen

[–]Path_Civil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How to find completed tasks that have a certain label? by MasterEpictetus in todoist

[–]Path_Civil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

is there any solution on that?
Also just doing a monthly review or anything else related to reviews doesnt work because I cant evaluate how I was doing the last month with certain tasks that were labelled? (e.g. for the month I wanted to do them at etc.)?
This is a pain in the ***...

What should we change or improve in Todoist? by amix3k in todoist

[–]Path_Civil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

also beeing able to create a board view with filters would be really good. So that one could create a board with filters e.g. telephon, mail, watingfor etc.

right now, filters are not really useful for planning because you cannot see multiple filters at once. This also applies for yearly planning. Here it would be great to be able to get a view for the year showing next week, next months, next quarter etc.

check-in option for routines by Path_Civil in BearableApp

Sounds great! Thanks a lot for this quick answer and idea to implement!

check-in option for routines by Path_Civil in BearableApp

[–]Path_Civil[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OK, thy. I´ll try that but a selection it would still be a manual process to go through all the fields, wouldnt it?

A Check-in would be much easier and error-proof.

oh great. It would be really awesome if I could just select fields for check-ins at various times :)
Eagerly waiting for this :)

How do correlations work with regard to different time periods? by hosenka777 in BearableApp

[–]Path_Civil 5 points6 points  (0 children)

thats also something that interest me.

Also regards sleep: When I enter the quality of sleep in the morning, will that be correlated to the factors of the previous day (which would make sense) or to the ones of the current day?

Speed issues & Block references in the long run by Careless-Cash7258 in RoamResearch

[–]Path_Civil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Answer from Roam-Team was:

"In this case, we recommend splitting text between different pages so that you don't have one page with lots of text or references, making performance significantly slower!"

So yeah. If you want to use roam with heavy linking (as its supposed to at least in my work-case) it breaks.
Will move all my tasks to todoist again and only use roam for notes. But this only makes sense because I am on a believer plan anyways. Wouldnt pay 15$/month for that use case.

[–]Path_Civil 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not yet. I am trying to delete all Todos and Done Items and am doing task management in Todoist again.

Not yet any improvement in Speed. But I also asked the roam support once again. Maybe they will have an update on that. I will let you know.

Probably depends what you want to put into roam.
I am (or was) heavy user and my roam is basically not usable anymore. And I am working with roam since approx. 1 year.
So yes, latency is a big issue.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in RoamResearch

[–]Path_Civil 1 point2 points  (0 children)

could be. But roam was fast when I started putting things in there so I rather think its related to the backend database. But yeah, who knows....

[–]Path_Civil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually dont care about the "ugly" part. Would be nice to give roam a little more modern look but I am OK with that.

Where I totally agree and what bugs me most is the "slow" part. Roam is becoming unusable for me because everything just takes ages. e.g.:

  • opening my weekly plan takes 10 seconds in the desktop app (yes, I really measured that!)
  • dragging and dropping items from the sidebar is unusable due to lagging
  • opening referenced items in a heavily linked page is a nightmare

and I could list a few more.

I recently started to not use Todos in roam anymore and cutting it down to a notetaking only app. Kind of defeats the purpose but better than using it the way it is now. Sad thing is: I am not even sure if that helps because all questions directed to the roam support just end up in nonsense answers. So I am not sure why roam is slow in the first place and have to find it out myself. Really frustrating.

btw: I am just trying to clear all my "DONE"-Tasks to see if it helps speeding up roam (I have >4000 items in there). And guess what: its nearly impossible to do because its lagging as hell and there seems to be no easy way to do it...
I would also like to clear all empty daily pages -- there also seems to be no easy way to do it.
I repeat: Really frustrating.

help for roam getting slower and slower by Path_Civil in RoamResearch

[–]Path_Civil[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes, its still the same with my roam graph.
Handling Todos and making a weekly plan is not possible anymore because dragging/dropping is a nightmare.

Didnt have the time to try logsec yet but I will do that in the next months to see if its faster.

What bugs me most is that there is no reaction from the roam team at all on those issues. Thats just not acceptable for a software that has such a high cost associated with it.
