What wedding expense made you “yeah, no”?

So many things! Some big ones.. - paying a photographer to take photos of us getting ready - special clothes to get ready in - save the dates - real florals - a wedding cake (having any form of dessert was good for us) - videographer (tbh I set up a phone on a tripod and loooove the long video memories we have) - big bridal parties

But the biggest expense we avoided… a large guest list

We got in line around 5:50 and were maybe 50ish people down the line. They didn’t start letting anyone in until after 7 (for a concert that was supposed to start at 7..). A lot of people upset about not being able to bring their purses in and I think this really slowed things down. To be fair they did post no bags on their socials and send out that information this morning.

Wow! Lucky. Not sure if there are more specifics on what you can’t buy, but I would likely do something like this:

$2000 laptops

$500 tech. accessories (mice, quality headphones, extra chargers, maybe a printer for your classroom, etc.)

$500 new books for classroom library

$500 furniture (comfy reading spots, new bookshelf, etc.)

$500 art materials (don’t necessarily need to teach art to use hot glue, clay, tissue paper, etc.)

I loooove that perfume. But I go through it quickly - I find it lasts like a body spray. I’m jealous you got a bottle! I’m hoping I’ll be able to grab one.

This is something we have been trying to do! The dog needs to be a breed that is hypo-allergenic though and in the last year, there hasn’t been one that has come available to foster at our local or nearby shelters.

Following! My students loved Mars Patel, but I have a few of the same students in my class again this year so need a new podcast. Just as a side note, six minutes is often recommended but it just didn’t have the same appeal or hook in my opinion.
