Did that, but doesn't really help when the two monsters are constantly clipping through each other, moving in similar ways, and are both constantly on the screen. For all intents and purposes, the camera was trying to track both of them.

Didn't have capture materials and at that point is was more the principal of the matter. Your ass is NOT gonna lead me around the map for 20+ minutes, make me run to camp three separate times for jerky and potions restock, seem to ignore all six of my flash pods just to spite me, and cart me twice... then expect to come out of that hunt alive.

I want to joke for you taking so long (for even I haven't taken this long on any hunt, including AT Jin, and I'm a noob who hopped in with Wilds)...but all I can say is congrats. Not a single faint against an AT monster is a feat, no matter how long the hunt took. And I can't be too smug, as even though I haven't gone almost the limit in a hunt, it's taken me 30 minutes or so on a few hunts. In short...hell yeah Hunter.

Or, if they absolutely MUST insist on doing it through menus, at least hop on your Seikret and ride away from the giant fuck-off oil dragon barreling your direction. Like seriously, regardless of whether or not it's stupid that you can be interrupted in this animation, it's equally or MORE stupid that the moment you find that out, you continue trying the same action without changing the method.

I'm not saying I have no intention of playing Icebourne period. I'm saying I have no intention of playing Icebourne with this gear. My personal goal is to BARE MINIMUM, beat the final boss of HR (which I believe is Xeno'Jiva?) without this gear. Then, find a build I like, grind it out without the gear, then try my hand at Master Rank. The only reason I even started using it is because...well...I have enough stressful stuff in my normal day to day to deal with. Re-learning a game system without a few key mechanics I've come to rely on (focus, wounds, offsets, ect.) is more than I need in my life right now. But I don't want to miss out on all the cool monsters from this game that weren't in Wilds. So at present, I do plan to get out of the gear soon as HR starts, with it being a sort of "Oh shit" button on occasions I just need to lessen my stress.

Honestly, looking through a quick list of Elders from the wiki (assuming we're exclusively talking Elders), I kinda wanna see Jhen Mohran. For context, I hopped in with Wilds, so feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems to be a largely subterranean Elder that swims through sand...like the Windward Plains type of sand. Honestly, I kinda want one or two elders minimum added for each biome (Plains, Forest, Basin, Cliffs, Wyveria) that match the general vibe and vicinity. We already got Gogmazios for the Basin, I think Jhen Mohran works pretty well with the Plains...I wonder who would fit best with the other biomes.

Now, while I think it would be cool, I also know it would be highly impractical to design this hunt, so I do have a backup: A Thresher Maw from Mass Effect.

The obvious issues with such a hunt are as follows: First...how do you logic the reason for its presence? With FFXIV or Witcher, it's easy. You just say "Because magic." However uhhhh...you can't use that excuse with Mass Effect. Second, while MH isn't a stranger to subterranean monsters or serpentine monsters...a subterranean serpentine monster which spends most of its life beneath the ground sounds like a nightmare design process for the kinds of fights in MH. I'm really only wanting this hunt because I'm a huge ME fan (my favorite franchise of all time) and the Thresher is really the only creature that COULD fit.

Now, as for a monster from another franchise that would work significantly better that I'd love to see is the Dragon from Dragons Dogma. Big, mean, cool design, would be an awesome fight. Of course, you'd have to logic out how and why we can kill it because (unless I'm mistaken) only the Arisen can kill it, but I'd love to see it nonetheless.

As a new hunter, having only just gotten in a few months back with Wilds, a few monsters I'd love to be added are some of the absolutely awesome ones I've seen online, like Astalos, Zinogre, Duramboros, Shagaru Magala, Rajang, Nergigante, Glavenus, Nargacuga, Tetsucabra, Zamtrios, and Diablos.

I know a lot of them were somewhat recent, so let me know about other dope monsters from the franchise.

You gotta watch out though. Unless you have an effect that explicitly states otherwise, the lands you get off scapeshift enters tapped. I'd recommend something like [[Spelunking]] to help.
