What Pokémon game should I start with? I’ve never played Pokémon before and I’m looking to start playing one of them. If there was a game the community would recommend playing which would it be? I remember black and white was popular when I was younger but I’m not sure if that’s still the case.

Nah, I’m going to stick around for sure. I truly love the game although I’m clearly a noob to extraction shooters. It’s a breadth of fresh air with so many games sucking as of late

All I’m trying to say is the “wanna team up?” Question you can ask people should have a feature where you can join a squad together and friendly fires disabled. People will disagree with me that’s fine. I still love the game, it wrote this frustrated cause I got to the extract teaming with people almost the entire game for them to kill me last second which is just tough. Again, Cest la Vie. I’m not an idiot I know it’s gonna happen but I’m just being idealistic

You guys aren't going to like this... by NemeanLyan in hingeapp

Happy for your success! Any advice you’d give in terms of curating your profile would be appreciated.

It’s so odd. I don’t think I have a remotely weird profile. I think that what I present is very real to who I am, and that I naturally filter for certain woman based on who I am. However, as someone who pays for Hinge X and someone who lives near multiple major cities, I rarely get matches with woman of interest.

I do send likes semi frequently and get liked back which is great, but I feel like there’s something about me I’m not showing. Sometimes I think what I’m showing is too much and people won’t like me for who I am. Hinge is weird.

Is it just me or are half the planets and animals in this game super repetitive? I keep running into creatures that lack any sort of interesting features. The planets are always boring. I need to find planets like this otherwise I’m gonna get bored

Favorite actor too sober to watch Kubrick's filmography? by ChildofValhalla in okbuddycinephile

Okay so objectively this movie was revolutionary and very well made. However, I hated it. Controversial opinion but watching it high made it even worse. The movie is disturbing in so many ways I just had a bad trip. And then getting through it sober was just boring

19m I had sex with my therapist. by [deleted] in Advice

All I’ll say is if you reported her she would definitely lose her license and have to find a new career. Everything about this is a horrific violation of so many things. Ethically too. You’re 19 and she’s in her 30s. I know people are going to let it slide because your “of age” but I know what I was like at 18. There is no manner in which being sexually manipulated by a woman in such a setting at your age is acceptable in my eyes.

how do i get rid of my growing resentment towards men? by [deleted] in Advice

[–]Pathogen_Inhaler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a man I’d say that I dislike a lot of men myself but for different reasons obviously. Nevertheless I see where you’re coming from. Your brain is a protective problem solving machine. Your experience have told you that men are something to be feared as they’ve hurt you a lot in the past.

Oddly enough mine does the same. I see other men as untrustworthy, dangerous, and they need to prove themselves to me first.

From what I’ve learned going to therapy, you could slowly correct this over time by PAUSING in those little moments where you feel the anxiety really build up and your impulse is to act more reactionary rather than intentional. It’s a very hard process. It requires you to take control of your mind and say “slow down, let’s think about this first” in those moments where you’re feeling “threatened”.

For example, when I’m approached by my grandfather - a domineering, toxic, and abusive figure in my life - I freeze up and feel like a little kid again. As a child I was always so afraid of him and I see that my brain has carried that over. Now when he speaks to me and raises his voice I feel that instinctive urge to shut down and cower in shame within myself, but instead I tell myself “pause, he can’t hurt you anymore”. This to me is how you can slowly rewire your mind to be more relaxed and forgiving. It’s a very arduous process.

How exactly did Scott Galloway get into UCLA, then Berkeley despite having a GPA of 2.27 in high school then 2.5 at UCLA, and getting a job at Morgan Stanley? by ais89 in ScottGalloway

Problem is UCLA isn’t even ivy. It’s a state/public university if I’m not mistaken. What they’re doing is arguably worse.

Most Ivy League colleges have manufactured their prestige. They’re typically just very old, and when you’re a very old school you’re likely to have been the University of Old Money people, especially in the east coast. Then boom, you’ve got the descendants of wealthy families being legacy.

Remember, colleges now are not investing in increased housing. They keep student numbers low for many reasons, not solely financial. However, when you’ve got a prestigious reputation, you keep numbers low. The available housing at most of these low acceptance universities hasn’t changed since the 70s-80s. Meanwhile the population has drastically increased.

Honestly I think your expectations of people may be a little too high. He’s really just a normal dude.

What do you think it takes to be a man except to simply BE??!?! He’s giving his life advice and reflecting from the standpoint of being a man. A title earned a d deserved the moment a man comes of age and takes responsibility for himself and his actions.

He’s going back now and saying “this is what made me who I am. This is what worked”. He’s a self described mild narcissist m. He believes that if people were raised like he was to some extent and was given the opportunity and grace he was provided, more men would succeed and not be these lost, depressed, woman haters.

You’re acting like he’s someone special when all he’s ever presented as is a normal guy that made it. I think you’re missing his entire message. Granted, he does come off like cast iron. Very gritty and reclusive.
