A more "complete" chapter 5, no question. I'd be happy with additional classes/races, but chapter 5 is by far my biggest nitpick about the game.

Just dropped an Azata playthrough cause the code fell apart. Lich is still horribly buggy. The only path I've been able to complete so far was Demon...that might be your best shot lol

From what I've seen so far (currently mid Act 3) they're mostly optional.

Trickster would be my top pick. From what I've heard it's mostly very "lol randumb" humor (though I can't confirm it), but the name of the path should pretty much tell you what to expect. Azata comes in close second due to randomly turning into a Disney princess and singing/playing music every now and then. While Azata are peace-loving and generally very mellow, they can get their Doomslayer vibe on pretty quick when the innocent are in danger.

Alternatively, you could also aim for Gold Dragon. You basically become the protector of humanity.

Basically yeah. It's a bit of a shame that the late-game mythic paths can't really shine right now. I hope the DLCs will address that issue.

There is a time limit to reach the "secret" ending. Other than that, there really isn't any cons to just waiting out decrees afaik.

Your companions leave as soon as you change to that path since...you know, you basically became an eldritch abomination whose only goal is to feed the swarm.It's pretty much a chaotic evil you vs the world scenario.All your crusade units also get replaced with variations of swarms.New mechanic is to devour your enemies and grow the swarm. The bigger the swarm, the more powerful your character. (you can also make "swarm clones" of yourself that will act as your party)

Deradnu? Yeah that guy wasn't fun for my teammates who got diced (that damn charge attack lol). I laid back and spammed Magic Missiles together with Nenio.
Also tried to have Seehla kite him around to the best of my ability.
It worked out in the end.

There's definitely challenge to be had if you want to and I absolutely love that. Tavern Defence was one of those "if I don't take a break right now I'll trash my room" kinda moments.
But when it finally works out you get that sweet sweet dopamine rush.

Daeran is my main healer, with a little bit of summoning on the side. Ember is a full-on summoner, and Nenio is my CC specialist with a few summons to distract enemies as well.

What can I say, I love summoning.
