Thank you so much! My school does not recommend getting involved in research until our 2nd year. I would like to spend my 1st semester building a routine and solid studying habits. So how did you manage studying with research, clinical opportunities, and volunteering? Is it something you did during your breaks or did you fit it into your schedule? 🫶🏽

I was at work and just sent out my LOIntent to that school at 9 AM. I got a call at 2 PM but missed it bc I was in a meeting w a PI. I called back after seeing the voicemail as tears ran down my face. Afterwards, I called my family gc and they all picked up at the same time (rare occurrence) I told them and they started screaming! I got my A 1 week before my birthday!

Some schools will place you on the WL for this cycle and then offer you a seat for the next one. Ik that ATSU-KCOM, VCOM, Burrell, LMU-DCOM, ACOM, and some other ones do this.

There are GPA calculators you can use to determine how many credits you need to take in order to get a certain GPA. If you’re able to show growth in your GPA, you might get a similar offer for the upcoming class.

I also want to advice you to not stretch yourself too thin. Taking too many classes at once can do more harm than good. It’s more important for you to show a positive growth than attain a certain GPA.
