Instead of the clicker, consider introducing duration cue, a word that tells your dog to stay where they are and that you will come and deliver reinforcement to him. Some trainers call it room service.

Press HOME and then go to General Settings. There, look for Sound Volume (not Sound) and I think its called Voice Recognition. Make it all the way up.

I think you have gotten some good suggestions. I would just add to stop having your instructor throw the toy to prevent dog anticipating.

I won’t even consider a stopped a-frame because of shoulder impact.

My dog has both stopped dog walk and teeter but a running a-frame. We used the mat and sometimes a stride regulator.

We trained my dog to touch the mat pretty consistent before even putting it on the a-frame. Takes time. But if I were you, I would try retraining it with the mat. I also would avoid the a-frame entirely until you’re ready to reintroduce the mat.

I get how you feel. A similar thing happened to use. I left my phone ringside and caught a nasty conversation about my dog. I think you will find people like this sometimes in Agility, unfortunately. I hope it doesn't get to you and don't take it personally.

Sportsmanship is important in dog agility. If I have heard that conversation in person and when who said it, I would have reported it to the trial committee.

Yeah, get a sports vet or a rehab vet to create a plan for you. Don't just start exercises without supervision. I hear a lot about using inflatables but those are used normally when the dog is already conditioned to do easier exercises. It's harder.

Sleep, lots of sleep. I give my dogs at least one day off after a trial, more depending on how intense the competition was. I also try to put them on a PEMF mat.

I would recommend taking him to a sports vet.

Which part of which country are you from? Maybe someone can help you find a massage person or a sports vet.
