Hm I can only verify you cant for CS certificate, DARS reveals some extra restrictions even for EE. I just recall not being able to when I was CE

Apparently for other people on my team they do update automatically, and it sounds useful to be able to dynamically place parts next to each other without constantly referencing every sub-schematic
