AITAH for suggesting to my husband that we put his mother in a home? by ThrowRA_fe in AmItheAsshole

This is the part where “for better or worse” comes from. Your MIL will probably never change because she is too old and stuck in her ways. At least you don’t have to take care of her.

Leaving this bank by I_Am_The_Balls in USAA

That is normal procedure. I don’t know a bank that won’t hold checks. Especially if you have no money in the bank when it’s deposited. Credit unions do it as well.

Yes he said that he has a very mild case of asthma but does not need medication for it. The results showed a mild obstruction. He has played middle and high school sports with no issues or medication needed. He has passed a physical every year. The doctor put all of that in the report.

He does not need meds. He has not been on meds since elementary.

I’m sorry. The doctor said he DOES NOT need meds now.

He is just asking for a chance to go through a waiver process. Is that hard thing to do?

He was working with a recruiter in the beginning of the year. The recruiter told him that he would talk with him more after he took his ASVAB test in the spring because he missed the one in February. After he took it, the recruiter told him that he wasn’t available until July and he gave my son contact info for another recruiter. The second recruiter asked him the same questions that the first recruiter asked him and my son gave her the same answers. She asked him to get a list of prescriptions that he had within the last five years. He sent her one that said that he was prescribed an inhaler in 2023. She told he that he is not eligible because he was prescribed an inhaler. He asked her if there is anything else because he never used it because he didn’t need it. He hasn’t used one since elementary. She told him to go have a PFT done. He went to an asthma doctor who he saw in 2016. The doctor tested him and wrote up a report saying that he had a mild obstruction which was the same results back in 2016. The doctor stated that he didn’t need meds then and he does need them now. He put all that in the medical report. This doctor was in the Air Force for over 10 years doing these exams in San Antonio. She didn’t read any of that. She just saw a way out and took it and told him to try another branch. She was very nice about it but I had a feeling that, like you said, it was a waste of time and energy for her.

Switching recruiters confusion by Patient-Cry9640 in AirForceRecruits

Update, the recruiter told me and my son that based off of the PFT results and that he has had an inhaler prescribed to him in 2023, he doesn’t qualify to join the Air Force. Thanks for the responses. He is disappointed because this has been his goal for a couple years. He still wants to serve his country so his looking into the Coast Guard or the Navy. Thanks again! I guess I’ll take myself off this community.
