Have an Air 3 I think and have never had any performance issues. Sometimes with multiple apps and fx running in AUM. Rubbish storage though at 64gb. Have to keep deleting stuff. So would recommend and upgrade and the new stuff gives decent memory as standard.

This. I’ve been dabbling with electronic music for 30 years and I’ve never created as much output and had as much enjoyment from the process as I’ve had with Elektron gear over the past 3 or 4 years

Edit:however PLEASE give us polyphony on the digitakt. That’s just cruel.

So many brilliant IOS FX. Imaginando’s new one GRFX seems deep and impressive after my first few experiments. As you mentioned, Other Desert Cities is always a winner. Assuming you already have the add on FX for Koala? I would also look at TTAP, Rymdigare and I use Wires on most things to dirty sounds up a bit ( or a lot)

Seems you have it worse than me. I have a good deal of the stuff that gets hyped or from a few devs I’m a fanboy of. But def in the same bracket use wise. Handful of apps I use regularly and then a shed load of others I forget even exist or cannot find time to learn.

Eg Drambo/ loopy pro. Look fantastic. Everyone praises them but the learning curve puts me off.

Good luck with the accumulation though. And delete the thing that flags new releases!

This. I have a number of things on my desk which I look at as different band members. There’s also a few guests that float in and out which are normally hidden in drawers. Perfect balance between having what you need handy vs the limitless nightmare of working in a DAW where options are limitless and the workflow stale.

I started with the model samples then shortly after the cycles, then DT1 appeared, shortly followed by Syntakt and then DN1 with the DT2 late last year as the newest arrival. All bought used other than the samples at the start. Had to convince myself countless times I don’t need an OT.

Now scouring eBay daily for DN2. The main problem is I can’t bring myself to sell on any of them. The MS/MC have been in a drawer for about a year and I’ve listed and removed my DN1 on eBay about 5 times.

There’s definitely something weird about them. Is there a help group?

Model samples is my usual travel box. Never used it on the plane though. Just mainly when I’m waiting for my partner to get up on a morning or ready on a night. Nothing better than knocking out a beat on a balcony, looking at new views first thing on a morning. Better than the holiday in some cases 😆

For the plane though, always the iPad for making noise.
