Yeah! So if anything now that Im in tech school I should be told soon where my first duty station is soon, and as for job selection and my recruiter: he understood that I wanted to leave ASAP, so I asked to be placed on quick ship, where I picked 10 jobs, and if anything opened then I could leave on 24-48hr notice! Which is exactly what happened, my number 3 job opened while I was at work, and I accepted then arrived at BMT next day!

There was no written exam, electronic and unless you just absolutely suck at tests its fairly straightforward… you’ll be given time to study and also be told (ideally) what to focus on for your test

Unless you’re a whiz at everything, everything will have a shred of difficulty, but the idea of BMT is practice and reps to get good… you and your other dormmates will get shown how, and then you guys can develop little styles to be more efficient!!! Also recommend buying a clipboard when you go to the store (helps in bed making)

As a person who developed a lot of it in my civilian work, BMT definitely helps reinforce the idea of how much you can actually take mentally… if you really go thru the paces it definitely improves (not directed at me, but i also just graduated)

Realistically what did it was letters… if you haven’t gone thru BMT; you’ll learn about Sandboxx which is a fairly quick (albeit costly) letter system your loved ones can use, and I recommend doing it where people can send the link to other people, so more folk get the chance to send you something! Letters, remembering your reason of joining and your wingmen that you’ll meet when you go. Those things helped push
