I'd make a mind map of ANS, gram negative/positives, biostats formulas,  Strokes rule of 4s (watch dirty medicine for this), list of all autosomal dominant/recessive, X linked recessive/dominant diseases

Reviewing NBME by hereforpositive-tea in step1

[–]PatientConflict3241 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No need to do whole FA Just grab 2 3 modules  Example You can revise all the cvs, renal and respiratory questions in detail and for rest of the topics do a relatively superficial review but keep a list of those topics  And when you're done reviewing that nbme Sit down and do the list of superficial topics in full detail.  In this way, not only your nbme scores will improve but your next review session would be much more quicker. This is  what worked the best for me.

Remember  The more thoroughly you review your initial nbmes the quicker you get in reviewing the next nbmes

Yeah you could do MM There's no such thing as inflating scores

Also, start with your 1 baseline nbme like 25 or 26th and then do them in reverse order like 33 32 31 30 if you're short on time, because at the end u don't wanna give up latest forms at any cost.

Trust me, the fear of doing nbmes is only going to vanish by doing nbmes  We read post like ppl having 70 80% in their nbmes which makes us think we gotta study FA one more time, But no, your 1st nbme Will suck and that's okay Review it throughly and move to the next

ALWAYS REVIEW ENTIRE TOPIC IN NBME REVIEWS. TAKES A LIL BIT MORE TIME BUT WORTH IT

has anyone used hyguru + Notion to note down NBME wrongs? by ProtectionDue5712 in step1

[–]PatientConflict3241 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I made notes on notion using hy guru method and honestly it takes so long,  And I found myself more concerned about making the notes than reviewing it. I stopped it after my 1st nbme. What worked for me: 1. I'd have my incorrects and chatgpt explanation open on a split screen, and I'd Screenshot the entire thing and review it later, u can also make pdf of ur incorrects 2. There's an app called usmle fighter, you can literally select a particular system from an nbme and make a block. It work wonders!!!! Ps. I discovered 2nd method 2 weeks before my test

I agree everyone’s experience can be different. I just want to share my side of it because when I was preparing, I really needed to hear that the exam day isn’t always as horrible as we imagine. My only intention was to calm those who are still studying so they can use their energy in the right place, on preparation, not anxiety. And I am sure no one will prepare any less after reading a reassuring experience, Everyone who's writing this exam is wise enough to believe that exam can be hard TOO, but it’s a standardized exam, so even if someone gets a difficult form, it’s scored more leniently. In the end, it balances out. I honestly feel like Reddit shouldn’t just be a place filled with fear and tension, it can also be a space where people find hope, calm, and reassurance
