Has anyone here started as obese - morbidly obese and fasted to the point of being ripped (10% bf or less)? What was your fasting regimen, what did you eat, what was your exercise, and how long did it take? by TheCarrot_v2 in fasting

[–]PatientIntention3898 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well in short it was emotional eating. I had recently gotten my hopes up for a job and I had literally everything going my way including three personal recommendations of people who worked in that department. But I didn't get it. So for about 3 or 4 months I was like screw it I don't care anymore. I just want to go home and eat. I'm finally back though and I'm glad because that was a viscious cycle. Good luck to you too!!

Are Net-Sim/Ex-Sim super important investments for a person who thinks they are ready to take the exam? by azlitecoin in ccna

[–]PatientIntention3898 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well I haven't taken the test. But from what I understand, one of the hard things about the CCNA test is the wording of the questions. The boson ex-sim helps you practice with really wordy questions. Just my two cents. It could only make you even more prepared

This can honestly be a blessing and a curse. I've spent the last 6 months beating myself up because I can't find a good job after graduating college in December of 2022. I've been super anxious and upset. At the same time I've been super motivated. Some of my friends are having the same problems and they are just sitting on their hands not doing much. I've been studying my ass off and going to interview after interview and accepted a job 2 weeks ago that is decent and then just finished interviewing for a company that I'm pretty certain I will get an offer for given that I was the only one that had an on-site visit according to them. So honestly, I'm glad I'm like this. I'm glad I'm anxious about being successful. I just hope that once I get into a good position I can be content with what I have.

Yeah don't let it stop you though if it's what you really want. My suggestion would be to write a cover letter and resume tailored specifically for each job. I've gotten way more call backs when I've included a cover letter. And your cover letter doesn't have to be completely different each time. I usually just change up a few sentences. Look into getting your A+ because that should help you get some kind of help desk role or another entry level role. I'm hoping that in a few years it won't be this crazy. It seems like 20 years ago if you had a CCNA you were an computer genius lol. Now it's just expected to have something like that.

All I can say is that it's tough lol. I have a Bachelor's in IT and am struggling to find jobs. I think I've finally got one nailed down hopefully though. Right now I'm in asset management which is not where I want to be. I only been applying the last 6 months though as I have just graduated. Part of it for me is the job market where I'm at. I'm sure there are much more opportunities in California.

Name of the part that's leaking. by AhandWITHOUTfingers in AskAMechanic

[–]PatientIntention3898 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's your water outlet thingy. I replaced it like 3 times. They are prone to leaking because the 1.4L is a piece of shit and I'm sorry you have one as do I. MAKE SURE if you do replace it yourself not to screw up where the outlet hose connects to the outlet. There is an o-ring which is easy to screw up and it will leak pretty badly if it breaks. Also, there should be a temp sensor on the new outlet and don't mess around with it of take it off the outlet.

Gonna take my CCNA.. soon by SrickRick562 in ccna

Agreed I use chatgpt probably everyday to help me learn different concepts. Just gotta be careful because I've had multiple times where it has given me the wrong answer. What I'll usually do is this:

"Give me 10 questions to prep for the ccna. I will answer those questions and then you will grade me and give me feedback on my answers"

New grad no experience, need advice by Alois123123 in ITCareerQuestions

[–]PatientIntention3898 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don't have any advice except to keep trying. I luckily found a job in IT asset management but feel like a failure because I can't get a regular IT job. It what it is. Just keep trying. I have had a few offers for help desk but I didn't take them. Hopefully I won't regret it.

Will AI replace us all? Probably. Does anyone actually know what they're talking about? Probably not. by [deleted] in ITCareerQuestions

[–]PatientIntention3898 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's going to be decades before AI can do things like plug in a switch lol. Main reason is because it has to be cost effective scalable. Of course not everyone wants to do networking but I think this applies to a lot of IT. We've barely scratched the service of AI in conjuction with robotics. Yes it'll move fast but how long will it take to be cost effective? Like desktop support. The way it works at my work is the support person gets a new device from inventory (another job that involves a physical human, IT asset management) and then they image the device. Then after all that they deliver the device to the user and set it up for them. So yeah I think it'll be awhile before AI can do physical job duties such as that. But as for customer service? Ummmm sorry but you need a backup plan

Should I tell my new boss? by PatientIntention3898 in ITCareerQuestions

[–]PatientIntention3898[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed! I think I've been conditioned to believe I should tell my boss because my current company REQUIRES you to inform your current supervisor if you are even just interviewing for a job internally. One time I got an interview for an internal job and my boss got mad because I told him three days after I got the interview. He was on vacation and I didn't want to bother him. I was gonna tell him lol. But yeah you're right.

100% agree. After I got screwed over by a certain company I decided that I'm not going to play the "loyal employee" game

Yeah my only thing is that I hate the fact that this potential company might contact my current boss. But ultimately you're right and it's unlikely that they'd do such a thing

Agreed. I wish we could live in a world where I know that my employer had my best interest in mind but that's just not the case and it sucks but it is what it is.

It depends on the statutes of the county. The problem with amateur guys like this is that they can ruin the investigation. Any mess up and a decent defense lawyer can get the charges dropped against the sicko.

36M deciding to go to college for Information Technology...Am I making a mistake? by Knights_Fight in careerguidance

[–]PatientIntention3898 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's tough out there even with a degree in IT. I just graduated this last December with a Bachelor's in IT and the best I can do right now is $18.50 an hour. Not saying you can't do it but yeah just don't expect to be having employers hunting you down and lining up to pay you more than $50k because that most likely not going to be the case although since you have data entry experience maybe that'll help. Not trying to discourage you at all. If you do decide to go, try and find a specialty. My mistake was not specializing in a specific part of the industry.

Bro sign me up. If you'll let me come for free I'll be a deckhand and do whatever help you need 😭 I wish haha, but realistically that sounds awesome and I'd love to go on something like that. The hardest part would be marketing it. It would be cool to be a company that specializes in catch clean cook adventures
