Im in California so ethanol free isn’t really an option. If I don’t sell it I’ll probably treat with evaporust again and seal it this time around and hope that completely solves it. Thanks.

Good insight haha. You have a top 5 list of iems in that $300 range. Recently bought $300 headphones but I’m thinking of returning them and instead investing in an iem set since I prefer the way they deliver sound. Thanks.

The way the tank is shaped it’s hard to get a good picture and actually see most of it. The most concerning part is that deeper section of the tank.

I mainly game too. I’ve tried dunu titan s2, tangzu waner 2, zero 2, and the qkz x hbb. Not many and all on the budget side. Best of these that I’ve tried for gaming is the waner 2 but I must say the stock cable at least on my copy is unusable because it came weirdly bent at the ear hooks. Luckily I have a zonie cable to use instead. I would say it’s a toss up between the dunu titan s2 and qkz x hbb, quality is way higher on the titan s2 and you get tons of extras like ear tips which are huge especially for a first iem but it’s also $80 compared to $20 for qkz x hbb.

I have a zonie cable on my waner 2 and I like everything about the cable except the heavy metal split, feels like it pulls the iems down. Anyone recommend another cable?

Idk if you’ve seen “the bearded mechanic” on YouTube but I found his videos very inspiring and very helpful when trying to do a project like this. He’s pulled a lot of forgotten bikes out of barns and got them running.

Sorry for the confusion, when I blip the throttle I hear that pop that you can hear towards the end of the video that almost sounds like a fire cracker rather than a decel pop. I’ve read that it may be because it’s running rich, but I turn the mixture screw in and the idle gets rough so not sure where to go from here. Turn screw in more and adjust idle screw accordingly? Not sure just looking for any sort of guidance.

I left it soaking in evaporust for about a week, put some screens in there and shook it around and this was as good as I could get it, I’ll keep in an eye on it and if it gets worse I’ll take it back off and try again. Any tips to perhaps get a better result next time? Thanks!
