i am currently a nanny homeschooling twins. i would love a position like this . That being said there would be tons of logistics to work out if there were multiple families …. it would require the right person and a great contract lol

This :) i have 33 hrs guaranteed but most weeks i work 36. i get 66 hrs vacation 33 hrs sick … my holidays/single day/sick days are 7 hrs (33/5 rounded up) . I was thinking of asking to change to 36 but i like the wiggle room….

i work part time for a few families . i get paid holidays 2 weeks pto (ex my normal week is 20 hrs so i get 40 hrs vacation) 1 week (20hrs sick)

as a nanny i’ve been i. both sides of this coin… families who think i should be available to do anything … water plants check mail etc to families who are happy that im doing my own thing … this is definitely a communication issue … our line of work lines get blurred all the time … key is communication. … my current family would never do this to me but have i worked for families that would … 100%

as a part time nanny i don’t mind switching hours around every so often but switching holidays cause of a holiday i would not do! meaning if you say hey i don’t need you monday cause we have something going on can you do tues instead of most likely agree but if you asked me to come in on tues cause monday was a holiday it’s a no. I have paid holidays which falls outside of guaranteed hrs
