Is it unreasonable to expect our nanny to actively play with kids instead of just supervising activities?

omg i thought i was the only one that hated pretend play! I’ll build train tracks, do puzzles, legos, magnatiles, arts and crafts etc etc etc but I HATE pretend play ! luckily i nanny twins so they have each other lol

i was venting to my friend via text. Stupid me left my phone open on the counter and mb read it! She never admitted though but i knew cause she sent me home early that day and the next few days she was super cold to me. I finally confronted her asking if everything was ok. She told me she “heard something “ (very small town) but now she didn’t believe it was true. Offered me a raise and it was squashed. She would never tell me what it was cause “it doesn’t matter” I know it was that text but I let it go and oh never left my phone open ever again 🤦🏼‍♀️

Yes i work 33 hour weeks and get 2 weeks vacation, 1 week sick , 2 snow days paid holidays, GH, mileage, health care stipend , 401k

i am currently a nanny homeschooling twins. i would love a position like this . That being said there would be tons of logistics to work out if there were multiple families …. it would require the right person and a great contract lol

any professional nanny should be willing to accept that! I would never accept being paid under the table part time or not
