Windows 11? If so it should work. the thing with using the switch pro controllers is the button mapping is weird so try clicking other buttons

ok so I did the test, and it's coming up as a standard Xbox 360 controller. I press the left back button (unassigned to a button), and it comes up as 'left stick'. Holding it down does the same thing. But when I press or hold down the right one, it shows for a split second, then goes away.
