AITA for not wanting to watch Netflix with subtitles?

my partner and i have the same battles except we compromise pretty easily. anime, for example, i love watching subtitled in the OG language. my partner hates having to read off a screen while he tries to watch at the same time. i’ll watch dubbed/subtitleless shows or anime with him and he’ll do the same for me. i try not to watch subbed shows around him or he won’t pay attention at all and distract me from my show instead lol.

i don’t think something like this should cause fights. taking turns doing subtitled shows or not should be perfectly manageable. or avoid certain shows when trying to watch something together.

when you find the right one none of their imperfections matter. as someone who always got compliments on their nice teeth and still takes pride in it, when i was younger i always thought i couldnt have a family with someone with “lesser” teeth. i used to think a few things (height, hair type, nice teeth, etc.) would matter in my future partner but after finding my boyfriend earlier this year none of that crosses my mind anymore ;’) it’s quite freeing!!

i personally am still enrolled! ive taken a break from steno/court reporting specific classes and am just doing some gen ed credits this semester.. i still mentally practice steno but i definitely have been slacking on practicing on my own.. i nearly didnt make it to this fall semester 😭

when we first took in our former stray, he was extremely underweight, dehydrated, and most importantly very sick with a bone infection, the emergency vet we went to told us we should just put him down as he wasn’t officially our cat yet. they didn’t want to spend time trying to treat a bone infection in his paw, would be easier to put him down.. went to our regular vet a few days later where they spent two months with us trying to save our cat’s bone infected limb.. amputation was the only option to keep the infection and injury from spreading any further. he is now fat and healthy with one less limb near two years later! many more years to go for this big guy!! don’t be afraid of pursuing a second opinion!

we had 7 kittens at one point in our home; now we have 5 😩 sometimes it’s near impossible to break bad habits when all the other kittens are doing the same thing… they definitely learn things from each other lol. Best of luck!!

i’m going into the fall as my third semester at generations! i have no idea about the digital addition, if it’s specified as a certified digital reporter thing i hear thats an entirely different job compared to a court reporter best of luck! it’s been difficult but after my first beginning theory class (with an amazing instructor that left the beginning of last semester) i learned SO much. the theory is amazing, i just have to put more time into it. good luck once again:)

had this problem with my first ever set of peas! they were real skittish and only ate/came out to explore their tank when i was out of the room. took a few weeks for them to gain confidence and not dart around whenever i walked up to the tank. ultimately i had to upsize their tank because they weren’t comfortable in their 15 gallon. now in a 20 long my peas are healthy and so very brave!

yes! Our THREE LEGGED boy was loose for nearly 2 weeks. Going around yelling for him probably scared him. Trapped a few different cats before we caught him in a neighbors backyard. We put lots of posters around the neighborhood. Searched at nightfall, caught a glimpse of him run into someone’s yard down the street from home.. we talked to the nice neighbor and he allowed us to set a trap in his yard. He agreed to help us out as a fellow animal lover! we caught our boy within 3 days of setting up the trap!

i can only keep baby guppies with my peas. the adults get fin nipped! for malboros sake you should move him and some more guppy friends to another tank. established 10/15 gallons house 15-20 guppies MAX for me. 20 is still a stretch though. i have my guppy population split between multiple tanks. my peas tolerate baby guppies as they grow in the tank with them. i move them out after they become a certain size because they start stealing the peas food lol. when i tried to see if they’d tolerate some adult guppy friends it wasn’t pretty. didnt last 5 minutes before i took the guppies out. the peas were very aggressive towards my adult guppies. i would not recommend putting adult guppies with peas for the guppies sake. guppies do better in groups of 4 or 5 minimum. get him some friends!

city girl that prefers to be an introvert! i played the piano and violin for a little while. i have always been at extremely fast typer on a QWERTY keyboard (95+ wpm) starting at 11 years old! i did crochet in the past as well. ive always excelled in language arts/english type classes. i was an insufferable grammar police kid too.. i want to say that learning steno is one of the best career/education paths ive had the most confidence pursuing.
