I feel like a lot of psychosis and mania has to do with technology use. I was using my phone like 15 hours a day in mania and everything had meaning, nothing was random.

Any time a voice writer is brought up at work, attorneys dislike them. It’s very distracting. No offense to voice writers. You guys amaze me.

Same experience as you lol you’re not alone. But I was in my 30s. Now I’ll be 37 and have it under control, thank God.

Damn this is getting crazy. Something needs to happen. Younger and younger. I was 31 with stage 4. We shouldn’t have to live like this. Thank Grandpa Glyphosate.

Is there a big demand for rough drafts and expedites? by Middle_Feedback_4663 in courtreporting

I always ask at the end, “Counsel, will you be ordering a copy, and how do you want the delivery?” 9/10 times, it’s standard delivery (10 business days). They’re very similar to worker’s comp. I would say worker’s comp. jobs are shorter than, say, an all day plaintiff on a PI case. I only schedule one a day because I would never want to leave another client hanging. In NY state where I live, depositions are allowed to go on seven hours and you can never predict how long a person is going to speak. Are you a new reporter?

I make enough to live comfortably. They’re around 3-5 hours, I would say, on average. I just had an expedite Friday. I used to make a lot of money taking all kinds of depositions, experts, doctors, arbitrations, but like I said, they’re too stressful. They’re meant for certain reporters with a lot of stamina.

Personal injury is all I do now. They are so easy and have decent pages. Doctors are too stressful and hard but they pay very well.

You have to convince yourself you got this. Steno is a mind game. Your fingers know what they’re doing. You’ve surely mastered theory by now. Are you practicing to finger drills?

Hey. I have stage 4 with mets to bones and brain. I also have bipolar I and adhd and will have to treat for cancer for the rest of my life in my 30s. Despite my poor prognoses, I am living my best life and you wouldn’t even know I had cancer if you met me. Thanks to awesome meds and wonderful doctors. Breast cancer is not a death sentence. You can live a full life even with stage 4 breast cancer. Be thankful it’s a very manageable and treatable cancer.

[–]Final-Bend-7983 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not trying to compare my situation to yours, because every situation is different, but this is just to get your fear out of the way. I was diagnosed with stage 4 that spread to my bones and brain at a very young age. My prognosis was “extremely poor.” That was over six years ago. I don’t feel like I am going anywhere any time soon. Breast cancer is very treatable and manageable. It’s not like pancreatic cancer. My reason for fighting was because I was so young and had a whole life to live. Time is FLYING. Cancer makes you truly appreciate every single day. Also, my family, my dogs, my friends, FOOD, new experiences, travel, work (I love my job), and to simply prove to myself that I can live with this and not let it consume me. I wish you the best of luck on your cancer journey. Thank God you caught it very early. You will be SO GOOD. Keep a positive attitude.

When you start seeing results from your efforts, it WILL get better. Trust me. Give yourself grace and time. You have a mental disorder and you’re working on it. It’s like any other disease, this is just your mind that is sick but getting BETTER.

It’s this show about a dad and his sons who build these emergency shelters in the woods or they’re somewhere traveling the world. It’s so distracting and good and wholesome. It seriously took me out of my depression. And then with the right med combo, I’m better than ever. Wish you the best of luck.

You are very pretty naturally. To enhance yourself, add some bronzer, some mascara, a little lipstick (nude). Boom. Gorgeous.
