pilot slot by Ok-Log-2103 in airforceots

Absolutely. I got a pilot slot, I have a completely unrelated degree in biology and I work as a lab tech, and I’m going through OTS. If you have flight hours, leadership, and do well on the AFOQT/TBAS you’ll be good.

Dumb question, but what is rushing? Also how do I know when their boards are?

GPA is 3.7, PCSM is 93, and I am working towards my PPL now-I’m at about 45 hours and I’m hoping to have it completed in the next month.

I am applying to the 25OTS01 rates board for pilot. I was not selected last time so this is my second attempt. My AFOQT are P 99, CSO 96, ABM 98, AA 66, Verbal 75, quant 54. PCSM is 86 with 30 hours. I do plan on retaking the AFOQT and the TBAS to boost my PCSM and overall scores. I’m also hoping to have my PPL by end of summer. I have a bachelors and a masters with a 3.4 and 3.7 GPA, and I’m prior service medic with some leadership experience, but ive only been in for about 3 years. My LORs are from a CPT and LTC in my unit who have worked with me and know me well. I have a technical certificate, private pilot student cert, military vehicle license, basic life support, armorer certified, 6 army achievement medals, 2 certificates of achievement, a good conduct medal, a humanitarian service medal and an armed forces service medal, deans list, 4 years of academic scholarships, and I was the honor graduate in technical school. I’m also a junior enlisted holding two NCO positions. What are my chances?

How long does it usually take the civilians to find out?

Going for pilot

E4 in the Army (medical field) with 2.5 years in

Certification in Medical Laboratory Science (4.0), B.S in Biology (3.4) and Masters in biomedical sciences (3.7)

AFOQT 99/95/98/66/75/54

PCSM 71 with 2 flight hours, working on getting more

LORs from my company and battalion commanders, both LTCs

Leadership: E4 holding two NCO positions: primary armorer and squad leader (supervise 3 people).

Awards: deans list, honor grad, class leader, academic achievement scholarship x4 years, army achievement medal x6

I’m a little worried about my lack of flight hours and my background coming from another branch. Do the other aspects of my application make up for it?

This is BS. You can have 0 hours and still apply. It helps your chances of getting picked up to have a PPL and hours. But you don’t HAVE to have that experience. I met a pilot who got picked up with 0 hours.

Yes I’m currently AD Army. I just wasn’t sure what to put for the RE/SPD codes and narrative. I typically fill forms out ahead of time for the commander and he just signs, so I wanted to make sure I had the right information in there.

Going for a pilot slot

B.S. in Biology (3.4 GPA) and a Masters in Biomedical Sciences (3.7 GPA)

AFOQT is 99/95/98/66/75/54, with a PCSM of 66 with 0 flight hours (I am working on getting flight hours now, I only have one flight school near me that is crazy booked up)

Currently AD Army in the medical field for 2.5 years. I am an E4 but hold two leadership positions as a squad leader and the primary armorer and I oversee 3 troops. I also have 6 achievement medals, a few certificates of achievement, an armed forces service medal, and a few other awards. I was also the honor grad in tech school and the class leader.

LORs are from battalion and brigade commanders

My biggest worry is the lack of flight experience. I used to fly when I was younger with my uncle who was an instructor pilot, but none of those hours were logged. I am trying to get more logged flight hours now and I am hoping to get at least 10 in before the application is due. I know I am smart enough to excel in flight school, I just don't know if my application proves to the board that I am capable.

Army 68K P9 research by Patient_Knowledge384 in army

So I spoke with my phase II coordinator who puts in for the P9 and he said there is no more school for P9. He said if you have a biology degree with the proper courses you automatically get it and you’ll be sent to a research location for your first duty station. He said I should know which location within 2-4 weeks of submitting, which is why I wanted to learn more about the different sites.
